Yeah that's the proper response from the player. Dignified and respectful to club and fans, while still not actually closing any doors indefinitely, mind you - I'm pretty sure the buying/interested club much prefers this kind of media comments from the player to some cringey, ambivalent expression of "ambition".

Barkley done the same last season. Difference is Kane and Barkley are from the academys respectively Lukaku has no connection to the club. He won't go anywhere this season but next summer might be different. It's why it's vital we get EL qualification this season so if he goes we can atleast attract a decent replacement. Another 11th place finish and we wouldn't have a hope of bringing someone good enough in.

Almost all the rumours circulating in the 'silly season' turn out to be factual (eg Cleverley to Everton). Thus, you'd have to think that Rom to Utd has a lot of legs.
