Lukaku is going nowhere this summer. Neither is McCarthy. Fingers crossed we can keep Stones. Coleman and Barkley I think will be staying as well.

In fear of sounding like Zat, that is a really strong core. Add in the quality playmaker to actually supply some ammunition for Rom and he'll bag 20 next term easily.
 
He's not going anywhere... the money United would have to spend is frightening, and he simply hasn't proven to be worth that outlay to a club yet. You'd be talking £60m.

Speculation has been rife over who will arrive at Manchester United this summer after Louis van Gaal suggested the club were in negotiations with a 'mystery' striker.

Following the departure of Robin van Persie and the decision not to make Radamel Falcao's loan move permanent, United have been expected to bolster their front line.

A host of names have been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but last week Van Gaal suggested the media were off the scent on who it would be.

"He [the 'surprise'] is in the process," said the Dutchman. "It's not the striker the media has written about. You have to wait and see."

Memphis Depay has posted a cryptic message on Instagram that has sent the rumour mill spinning out of control.

The young Netherlands international has posted a picture of himself with the Everton and Belgium striker from their summer holiday together along with a cryptic message which reads: "See you soon".



With Manchester United and Everton not meeting until mid-October and their international sides not scheduled to play it's been suggested Depay is referring to Lukaku joining him at Old Trafford.

I really expect better from the independent, this is the type of tosh reporting I expect to see in the wife's gossip celeb magazines.
 
Again if United want him they will have to pay a price befitting of a young international player who is established in the prem with a 5 year contract. Hello circa 40 million. If they want to pay that then Rom is easily replaceable. If they want to get him on the cheap we won't sell. Top clubs had their way for too long taking players off other teams got low sums. Good to see everyone starting to milk them for every sale.

I think they also have the same agent

And van gaal said the striker had Not been linked with them in the press
But lukaku was linked a month or 2 back

Not like they can't have planned to meet up on a day off or anything like that is it as they are clearly living hundreds of miles away from each other. Then again if it was written by a southern journalist he has probably not ventured north of Watford for so long he wouldn't know anyway.
