This ego talk is just clap trap really, you have this assumption based on what??

Based on the fact he thinks he can just walk into a Champions league team and be the first choice striker, don't wish to bore you all again by going on about all the other stuff i've seen him do which gives me question marks over his attitude

Erm Suarez was bought for 23m LAD, Chelsea want 30m for Lukaku

Is Lukaku worth nearly 3 times as much as Sturridge?

When did i ever say anything about buying Lukaku for £30m.

When Sturridge was bought by Liverpool he had played 7 times for Chelsea that season scoring one goal. It's an utterly stupid comparison to Lukaku as he's just come off the back of two seasons of scoring 1 goal every 2 games in the Prem.

Sturridge now is clearly worth more than £12m.

I hate that stat, I know its an important one as its his goal record which obviously is important as he's a striker

But, It does not tell the story that between Dec and May this season he scored 7 league goals in 22 games which is around the same ratio as Naismith

It seems he has the fan base split somewhat, I don't think there is any doubt Everton fans want the lad it seems the price tag has a lot of people worried

The first, and only, sensible thing you've had to say on this subject.

First off, I read your post. That's how I know I disagree with what you said.

Secondly, Martinez doesn't NEED to be a miracle worker. Lukaku's a striker who scores goals in the prem with regularity, he just needs polishing up on the areas of his game that don't come as naturally as goalscoring.

Thirdly, and with all due respect to Kevin Kilbane, I suspect Lukaku's a better player at 21 than Killa was at the same age.

You're saying no to a proven prem goalscorer on the grounds that there are things other than scoring that he hasn't perfected yet. At 21 years old. I think you're ignoring the fact that we don't have the money to buy a Suarez or an Aguero, and ignoring the fact that Lukaku may well be the best striker under the age of 23 on the planet.
i can't even be arsed giving you the required answer.. just accept my next point would of been amazing and that you are wrong....

People go on about his age but hes only 21- he is only going to improve and the fact that his banging in 15/17 goals a season with room for improvement is a massive plus for me.

Even if he comes in and doesnt do that well we would most certainly get at least our money back in my opinion.

Yes mate just ignore the facts that his goals to games ratio was similar to Steven Naismith in the last 26 games of the season

Naismith 7 in 26

Lukaku 7 in 22

How often was Naismith played up front? How many games did he come on as a sub?

Salty, salty popcorn.

Of course the last 22 to 26 games are far more indicative of Lukaku's true value as a striker than his 31 goals in 60-odd games in the last two years in the prem. Of course they are.

You carry on ignoring his goal to games ratio being up there with Aguero, Sturridge, Rooney, Van Persie and co over the last 60 games. Go right ahead. It's only the last 25 games that matter. LOL.

Your figures are wrong, he didn't score 7 in 22 games. He scored 7 league goals between the 29th of December and the end of the season, a period of 18 games. Not 22.

7 in 18 is considerably better than 7 in 26.
