People go on about his age but hes only 21- he is only going to improve and the fact that his banging in 15/17 goals a season with room for improvement is a massive plus for me.

Even if he comes in and doesnt do that well we would most certainly get at least our money back in my opinion.

This is the deciding factor for me, he's worth every penny of 20 - 25 mill! Five year deal, with resale value at the end, 15 - 20 pl goals - defo worth 5 mill a season. It doesn't make sense not to do it.

Name a player for £15m who we could get that offers anywhere near the same value. Top level goals and age combined. You won't do it.

Lukaku is worth £20m for the same reason that McCarthy was worth £13m. Age is a massive factor.

It's not the strike rate as such as he goes through flourishes. It's that half the time he's non-existent in the game. When he doesn't score, he offers nothing.

We were fighting for top 4 the whole season. A goal in September is worth the same as a goal in January.
