Lukaku is worth £20m for the same reason that McCarthy was worth £13m. Age is a massive factor.

Normally in games when he's "on", and I remember at least two from last year that were actually scuffed shots that others turned in - Oviedo at United for example.

So he's either on fire or ice cold. The hope is that he finds the consistency due to his potential, but we're talking club record transfer here.

IF, he was our player, had been for 3 years, with 2 years left on a contract, and had scored 15-20 goals a season for us, would we want more than £20m?
