I agree, but Baines's position is safe anyway. If that partnership isn't as effective anymore though and pienaar doesn't contribute enough goals/assists himself then he isn't adding enough to the side to justify his place.

If we sign Lukaku it's a message to everyone in the league. A potentially world class player who we knows can score goals. I don't see it as that much as a risk, cause even if he doesn't do as well as he could; well West Ham spent like 18 mil on Andy Carroll FFS. We'd get a good chunk of money back no problem.

Let's hope so mate. It was sensational when we got Rom on loan, and despite the arguments of some on here, it would be even more sensational if we could buy the lad.
