Lukaku

I've never been fussed about Lukaku. He's overrated, lazy and for somebody reportedly worth £24m, doesn't remotely score enough goals (on average he scores one for every two games we play).

On top of that, we're a club you play for for loyalty, not money. The first sign Lukaku gets for a higher paycheck he'll be off elsewhere in my opinion.

I'm open to people telling me why I'm wrong - I want to get excited about him, I just don't seem to be able to.
Well I'm just glad you are not in charge of da war chest lid

I respect your opinion. I don't agree, but your argument is much better than many of the objections that I've seen on here.

I think you're right about the higher paycheck and we would definitely be a stepping stone for his ambitions. But hey, if he can come in, smash in a hatfull of boss goals, crank us up the table and leave us for double what we paid, where is the downside in that?

You won't get a 21 year old with a goal in every 2 games in the Premier League for anything near that price normally, Martinez is a fan of his, even if he is sold on, it will be at a large profit, he seems to get Everton and has a good relationship with Mirralas, he's the kind of player who will single handily raise Evertons global profile. He's a winner.

That's fair. I don't suppose I ever looked at it like that. And my point about the number of goals he nets is simply not something I've come across before. I assumed it was expensive for one in two.

Maybe if everyone starts posting stuff like this Chelsea will see it and not want him anymore! Love your strategy mate

Ever the strategist.

That's true, i guess! When it's put like that, I almost want to be a stepping stone!

Please show me evidence of this 'laughing stock' situation re BK? This forum has continually made a laughing stock of Dave Whelan with its contiuous 'jokes' at the expense of his broken leg suffered in an FA Cup Final. Something which contary to the beliefs of many on here, Dave Whelan never mentions. The consensus on here last summer was that BK had played a blinder in the transfer window, but there are always some who have an agenda not to give him any credit at all, unless it harms their reputation as the poor little platoon fighting against the devil that is Bill Kenwright. Loyalty to the club? First game around 1948...thats 66 years as an Evertonian. I think thats pretty loyal.;)

Sorry didn't know. Anyone got a super fan gifs for this guy?

Well you look at the badge on your chest and that's how long I've been a fan for am I better then you now? Loyalty isn't measured by age mate and if you where this amazing fan and over retirement age why where you not watching sky sports when all this was happening? Or where you stood outside FF with your everton scarf over your head coz you are just so much of a fan.

Basically if you had bothered to read my original posts be for you blundered in with your pro kenwright agenda I said, the money for felliani was good but having Dave ring up sky sports and tell them how we are mint balls and sky bang on about it was embarrassing. Calling it a masterstroke wasn't right either because it wasn't like it was all planned out by kenwright. We got lucky man u had no were else to turn. If the herrer deal hadn't of fell through they wouldnt of gone for felliani and we wouldn't of had macarthy.

We got lucky!!! Ffs.

So is it on, or is it on?

You have no idea how many people who actually do know what's going on say that it's done. This is Everton. It doesn't mean 100% that it will happen, but the story hasn't changed as far as I've heard just the timeline. At the end of the day it's down to Lukaku himself is the real thing. He has to decide what he thinks is best for him.

If we have a boss window 'Martinez has pulled a blinder'. If we have a bad one 'BK out'. Thats the way it is. Same as the way the manager who brought us Coleman, Stones, Arteta, Pienaar, and Gibson for less than 10 mill combined gets called 'dithering'.

So is it on, or is it on?

I like your optimism.
I can honestly guarantee being itk as I am, either it was never on and they havn't even enquired... it's totally on and he's arranging his medical as we speak... Or somewhere in between.

Hope that clarifies things.

Listen lads its all plain and simple....Bk is quite astute in the market and has no option but to be as shrewd as possible, simply because he has no money and never will have as long as he is chairman of Everton. That is not to say he hasn't done well in the market but he has only done as well as our position in the league and our performances in the cup. He is great at keeping the club ticking along but don't expect trophies from a chairman that is possibly the poorest in the league. He should just quit and leave it to the big boys so our longest ever barren spell may finally come to an end. Out of his depth is what I think.....but it is only my opinion.

Yeah I guessed it would be for the kits mate.
I didn't actually think they were going to unveil 3 players in the middle of Liverpool town centre like.

O ok. It seemed like that's what you were implying. Deep down I think that you still are.
