If mourinho doesnt need him yet and doesnt need the money for a sale either.
He will probably want to keep him as a chelsea player..2 yrs left.
Therefore his best option imo would be to leave him at everton for a further season.
Watch his progress whilst also enjoying the damage he can do against his main rivals in the prem.
win win situation for all concerned..
 
The talks went something like this

BK- hi roman how much for Rom?
RA- £25mil and John stones
BK- sorry we're not willing to include our players in any deals.
RA- ok £15mil and Barkley.
BK- no Roman I won't include any players as part of the offer for Lukaku.
RA- ok then how about £10mil plus stones and Barkley for Demba Ba??
BK- ................. DEAL.
 
The only drawback scenerio to my previous post would be.

Lukaku has a fantastic season for us which of course we would hope for.

But that would put us back ever further in our efforts to sign him permanantly.

Mourinho wins either way once again,and like other players on his books he uses them as pawns.
 

It's a worry if we don't get him back.

Of that ilk, he's the absolute best we could feasibly get in my mind.

I'm all a bit worried about our striker situation.
 

I would be happy if we could get a deal along the lines of another years loan with an option to buy for £20m rising to £25m with add-ons. Would expect that to be things like amount of goals scored and getting Champions League.

If we had it, I would be happy with us spunking £30m on him
 
Really can't see us signing him permanently as that'd be a huge coup. Another years loan wouldn't be bad though, would allow us to buy 5 players for everywhere else in the team, then next summer we'd only need to concentrate on buying a striker

Me too mate.

Just like it seems to be before every season, it's our number one priority. Lukaku is the dream, but I can't see it happening. In my mind, I can see Roberto taking a punt on someone we weren't expecting.

Stresses me out thinking about it, I'd rather just watch copious boss togger at the World Cup and let it be.

Not a bad way to look at it actually. Not like we can change anything.
