Im not totally convinced he can spot a player, I think Jose just buys the flavour of the month players for vast sums of money.

His track record suggests he doesnt want to spot a player, he would rather pay a lot of cash for established ones.

Happy to be proved wrong, but I cant recall him buying some unknown that developed into a starter. Not at Chelsea anyway.

He has the money to buy fully formed players. He has no need to develop young players into top talent, he'll just buy whatever current top talent there is. And if Lukaku turns into top talent he'll just figure he can buy him for whatever the going rate is then.

And I don't think Mou likes anyone with arrogance or attitude except for himself, and Lukaku is deffo self-assured.
