No manager at Chelsea is allowed the time to develop a player like that, they need players to hit the ground running, as they NEED instant success.

Plus he didn't sign lukaku, so its left to the imagination if he was in charge of chelsea when he was signed would he have signed him at all

Im sure he has, but when you use his scattergun method your bound to get "lucky" now and again, Jose isnt about buying players, hes never been at a club where it matters, maybe Porto earlier on, but since then he just buys EVERYBODY.

Jose is about the mindgames and boss tactics, not the buying gems.

Didnt he take some littke known Portugese side to third or something before he moved to Porto. Mourinho is a winner. If he's got no money he'll develop players into a winning team. If he has bucketloads he'll buy top talent and win with that. He's not like Wenger the perennial developer. Why should he develop some other manager's expensive signing when he has the coin for the finished product.

He'll always be my hero for what he did at Anfield.

I think he wants to stay at Chelsea and prove himself, being a second choice striker wouldn't bother him because he's playing in champions league and the premiership, He's happy there. It's either stay at Chelsea or sign for Althletico, talks with Everton will probably fall through
