How can you go from wanting to play at Chelsea for the rest of your career one day to wanting to leave the next.

Something doesn't add up here for me

I think we must be one of the favorites to sign him. Who are all these other clubs that are going to blow us out of the water?

Either way, i reckon Roberto would quite easily be able to persuade the lad to join.

But i dont trust Bill and co to make the deal, inept.

If Chelsea are buying Costa, then he'll recognise he'll be waiting a long time before being their #1 striker.

Sign him up, Bill, FFS!

We're talking about one of the best young strikers in world football.

If he became available every man and his dog would be interested

Agreed. Though we have a spine with the best young midfielder (Barkley) and best centre half (Stones), who similar age. Addin McCarthy, Coleman and hopefully Ledson, and that is an amazing young side potentially. I think we will find the money IF he wants the move.

It depends how he performs in the world cup, but he's not yet good enough to demand a starting place at one of the very top clubs, like Chelsea for instance. Our main rivals are probably Spurs, maybe one or two other clubs from the whole of Europe, and we may pay better wages than them? Maybe Arsenal as well, but is that a goer? We are definitely one of the favorites to sign him, imo.

all happening now as the costa deal is being confirmed, maybe he thought he could persuade jose it wasn't needed?

He'll definitely leave Chelsea; the question is, where will he end up?

If we had the kind of money we should have, then I'd have no doubt he'd be ours, but this is Everton under Kenwright.

Kone it is then.

But surely we're at least serious if we have opened dialogue with Chelsea? Maybe Roberto is wanting to spend the whole budget on Rom? If the cash is there, and that's what he wants to do, Kenwright won't stop him. For all his faults, he doesn't do that kind of thing.

Exactly this, was going to post the same thing.

Barkley and Stones are 2/3 of an outfield spine, lukaku signing would give us the best young spine in europe.

Just need a top centre mid to slot in next to mccarthy and we look very strong.
