He said: “I can learn a lot from Duncan about holding up the ball. Even sometimes in training he’ll stop and show me something. The way he holds up the ball is so impressive. “Also the way he finishes from crosses as well with his head. It’s all impressive. “I work with Duncan and (assistant manager) Graeme Jones all the time. I go with them after training on Tuesday, Wednesday and sometimes Thursday or Friday. At least three times a week.”

From the same article:
“I was too young to watch Duncan much when he was playing,” he says. “Most of the time when I watched Everton as a kid it was Wayne Rooney. I remember him scoring the goal against Arsenal. My brother was an Arsenal fan so I was happy because I supported Chelsea.

That makes me feel far older than my 32 years

ronaldo didn't just get to the player he is now on raw talent alone. he's simply that good because he works as hard as anybody. how many players do we see who look like stars in the making, but lose their way as they just don't seem to want it enough, they get paid stupid amounts at such an early age that they don't need to strive to better themselves.

lukaku is eager though, that's why he'll be one of the best, he has the natural talent and seems to constantly have that willingness to keep improving.

I'm hoping Dunc gives coaching along the lines of:-

"see, I nae seen a man so big but so weak, ye play like ye made of marshmallow"

It appears at times that Rom only uses 60% of his strength. His body position is always nearly wrong in order to look after the ball, he tries to stand tall to it and therefore its easier to move his body over his centre of gravity - hence he usually loses balance and ground force.

Look at any top player who looks after the ball well, they look like they are sitting down - Mark Hughes, Shearer, Dalglish, Bony (one of the best at it currently), Duncan did it too.

It can all be learned I guess, he's got one of the best showing him.
