Whether origi turns out to be a top class player is to a degree irrelevant. He's not our player so I don't really care, the fact that I believe him to be a class player in the making will benefit Liverpool so I don't wish to be correct.

I'm not bothered whether or not you rate my opinion. I played at a decent enough level and been going to matches over 30 years and I am comfortable in knowing what I know. a

To draw a line under this whole Lukaku love in. He is going to attract a lot of attention rightly or wrongly because of the hype and the fee. The younger fans have been given their supposed super striker and with that comes expectations and being under the microscope. He is getting a lot of support and defence which he is going to need, but to say he's as good already as many are making out is daft.

If he keeps improving the fundamentals which I can't believe he's been allowed to progress without, gets more focussed and aggressive then he really does have a chance. But there is a way to go, a fair way. Sorry to piss people off but the ridiculous "beast" comments and complete forward nonsense is just daft.

people like me are just pointing to the facts mate, he has a better scoring record at 21 than the best strikers of this generation, some of which may go into a best ever XI.

you're saying he's less developed than origi though, this is my main point. no stats backup your opinion.

anyway, we'll agree to disagree.

This is what I don't get. Completely blinkered fans. We all want Lukaku to be a "beast" - most ridiculous description I've heard for such a tame striker. He looks a beast when you see him celebrate a goal. He could be a beast if he gets some aggression in his play.

He had a good game the other night - a good game. Not exceptional, there were a few ahead of him for motm.

The fear of him not living up to expectations is creating some ridiculous appraisals when he just has a decent game. He had a game where his control and passing was better but for some reason it seems to have gone unnoticed that he did lose possession for this reason a number of times. It's just that his work rate was so much more and the teamwas fluent.

Origi is going to be a player. Anyone who can't see that already is daft. He plays at pace with his head up, has tremendous control and skill which is why he is played out wide. For a 19 year old to play like that is very good.

I agree Rom is a better penalty box operator. If he had Origis technical game he would be complete. And there is the difference.

A player who cant beat Tony Hibbert.

Which he would have had but for a disgraceful offside decision!

Yes mate but what I liked is the 2 runs he did make and slotted them. If he does 3 runs a game like that he will get picked out for one if them and slot. I've been critical of him this season, especially the derby game. Thursday is what I knew he was capable of, not arsed he gave it away a few times, Baines will vouch for him that he gave him a bucket load of ammo down that left side from good hold up play. Nais got the plaudits for a great finish on Thursday, Roms turn tomorrow I reckon.

Stunk the gaf out again after a decent performance on Thursday, 28 mil for that touch though. I am pretty sure Victor had a better first touch.

He's bang average at best at the moment and that's being kind, and needs being told, however he's not entirely blameless, we have spent £28m on a player to run the channels. He's hardly in the area. You know he's not doing enough when you prefer Naismith in the side.
