I have some difficulty reconciling Lukaku now with the guy who terrorised WHU on his debut. In fact with his very first touch as sub he turned a WH marker in the middle of the park and launched a great ball out wide. And who can forget his determination to get on the end of Mirallas's cross to head his goal. And I recently came across two goals he scored for Belgium in early 2014 in which he beat a number of defenders in both instances and ran half the length of the pitch with the ball before slotting past the keeper. Brilliant.

Yeah because Anichebe clearly has a better goalscoring record than Lukaku.

Defenders have worked out if you drop deep and restrict him to receiving the ball with his back to goal then you're nullifying his threat of running at you or getting behind you.

Couple that with our obscene lack of width at the moment and combine it with him being out of form and it's a massive centre forward crap sandwich that were getting.

I'd have him start the game from the bench for a while so he can get his confidence up.
