Was at the Wales game yesterday and Rom had absolutely nothing to feed off whatsoever, just like Benteke. I may be biased, but Wales' defence was really well organised. Hazard was useless at getting anything remotely dangerous into the box. If you get no service, no matter how good a striker, when there's 11 players in defence, you aren't going to look good. It's been the same for us this season- we've not given him the service. Coleman's been out of sorts, Baines not the same, and our play has been pedestrian.

in their defence their midfield was constantly shooting from range instead of actually creating openings. hence the 1 shot on target from about 17 shots. this is the same team that kept firing balls at howard all day long in the WC.
Players like Benteke and to a lesser extent Rom definitely benefit from decent balls into the box. I honestly think he'd have got nearer 30 goals this season if Garbutt played more.
