I think the "Mourinho got rid of him so he must be crap" logic isn't great for this very reason. Some players just don't do it for him. He's bought duds and sold good players just like any coach.

Agreed. He seems to love Willian who really isn't all that, but then sells De Bruyne, Mata and Schurrle, all of whom I'd have in the team before him.
