Lukaku's Everton Frustration

I'm not a fan of that song either, mate. Good to have company in that respect - thought I was the only one

Haha. The fact everyone now stops half way through makes it even worse. If your going to sing it sing all of it, if not then don't sing it at all.

Back to Rom and i agree with him

While I feel he shouldn't have made these comments before seasons end, I don't have a major problem with what he did say.

Even the most positive of fans expected more from our summer transfer window. I did read it quickly and maybe I missed something but I see potential for a deal to be agreed here. It reads more like a challenge to the board than a leaving speech.

To me, he doesn't want to be here.

Simple as.

No amount of platitudes will convince me and I suspect the vast majority of posters on here any differently.

Blaming the board us just an easy way out.

If he had came out with that when the season was over and moved on I could have happily lived with never seeing him play for Everton again.

Now I have to look at him taking a big wage from my team another four or five times between now and May.

And I am sure he will be as de-motivated about EFC as I am about him.
Why do you think he doesn't want to be here mate? Is it because he wants more money than what's currently being offered or because we're not ambitious enough for him?

Rom sick and tired of promises wants the everton board to deliver.

He is RIGHT.

Koeman will be over the moon with this with transfer Windows pending.
I think that is what he wanted. Not so sure he hasn't moved on in his head and is only trying to go out with some degree of popularity among the supporters by directing things over to the board

It is a challenge to the board like Koeman, his staff and the ex managers and ex players over the last 20 years.

The lad is 23 and could end up being the top goalscorer in the league in 10 games.

If we are ambitious we will keep him and add more of his quality or we keep knocking on the door of the Europa league for another 20 years.

If he wants to go we can keep him for 2 more years unless he signs a new deal. It looks likely that any new deal would require a release clause thus taking the decision out of our hands at a certain amount of money. As much as it sucks, we are probably going to lose him without something incredible happening in the summer and next season. I hope we can pull it off but I have a tough time seeing it

When Moshiri sent that text to Jim White, everyone was saying " Moshiri has this, he is an astute business man " I've no doubt he is and is brilliant in the boardroom.

But Raiola has took the fight from the boardroom out in the open world of PR and the media. These are his actions and words being done via Rom now, divide and conquer and put the blame back on the club.

Could be mate. It's hard to know for sure in this game of spin and counter-spin. If only football was straightforward, eh?

Depends what the challenge is though. If it's bring in world class players and let me lead your front line then I'm all for it.

However, if it's spend big and I'm all yours until my artificially low release clause is met then he has to go.

He either wants Everton to build a team around him or he doesn't. He can't expect Everton to build that team while he insists on a low release clause. Commitment is a 2 way process here.

We havent made a statement in the 2 transfer windows koeman has been here. Snides is a top player but he is not a statement. It was something we needed to do due to the lack of trophies and lack of champs league football since the late 80's. Thats a long long time. I was dumbfounded that we talked about a big window last summer but didnt spend a penn overall. To hang on to our best players we need to spend big ,extra big on 2/3 players to ensure the big name players are happy. Then u got to buy at least 1 a year to show them you are maintaining this project.

The rest of the players brought in can be the gana types who can also push and start in the first 11.

I found it strange that he says he lnows we could have got some big name players and decided against bringing them in. Were they here already in the premier playing for other teams?
