I realise you're being sarcastic, but I have to say I agree with your general point.

Great if he stays, but if he wants out, there's the door. If people think the club have treated him badly, then equally, he has hardly been offered a pittance to stay, has he? Works both ways, he's hardly a proven player yet.

I'd like him to stay, personally.
I'd like him to stay too. I dont like his attitude over this contract but it'd be foolish to say he cant offer us anything. He defo can.

But when all is said and done, as you say, 'there's the door' if you dont want a very, very decent livelihood and potential for better at one of England's greatest clubs. He'll soon see that the grass is far from greener at any club he can currently attract.

GRASS being the operative word.

Can't blame a 22 year old lad wanting to play football. Would be interesting if we've offered him a contract alongside a promise of a loan to an upper championship/lower premiership team for regular football next season. When Baines is fully fit again, I can't see Garbutt displacing him from the team.

Ok mate fair do's.

Just a bit weird that in December you said Garbutt was one for the future; fast forward 5 months and suddenly he won't make it at the top level. What's happened in these 5 months ?

I wouldn't want to say but, suffice to say, you can see that Roberto fancies Galloway more.

Hes not been a saint.

Always out in Manchester night before a game. Despite instructions not too.

I'm awful sorry to hear that he feels Everton are holding his career back. That'll be the Everton that took him from some hopeless Tyke club going nowhere fast, gave him a pro contract and played him as a member of the first team in Europe and in the PL.

What monsters our club have behaved like toward him. Maybe we can get him to stay by offering him the top wages at the club and sell Baines and Oviedo?

Yes, let's do that. It'll make up for how appallingly he's been treated so far.

He wants to play some football. What bit about that can't you understand? Why is he a turncoat judas for wanting that?
