Im just glad that there is still the chance of him making the first team considering we got into trouble for signing him in the first place.

Well he signs a new contract he is our player for another x number of years and can play his way into the team. Considering we were taken to court over him nice to see we was worth it then.

alternatively he doesnt sign and he doesnt play in the first team and we went to court for someone who we couldn't make the most of

same thing.

plus bates still reported us for tapping him up

bates reported us, that could have ended up in court.

and stay away from kirby then and maybe they won't be so strict

That was like watching a car break down on the motorway.

Really happy hes staying.

Garbutt, Galloway and Stones. Incredible to have such English defensive talent.

Commentator said Garbutt signed for Bournemouth on loan.

CHERRIES are understood to have cooled their interest in Everton’s England under-21 defender Luke Garbutt.

The Dorset outfit were reportedly favourites to sign Garbutt on a season-long loan once he had finalised a new five-year deal with Everton.

Garbutt was one of the first players to be linked with Cherries following their promotion to the top flight, but is not thought to be heading to Dean Court.

They watched him in under 21's and realised he aint all that.

The Echo on Sunday 21 June;

"The 22-year-old defender is close to finalising a new five-year-deal with the Blues after lengthy negotiations with the club and has agreed to spend the 2015-16 campaign on loan.

"Bournemouth are the current favourites to take the England under-21 international but an agreement is yet to be sorted. The south coast side, along with Swansea City, offered Garbutt a permanent deal after the full-back’s contract with Everton expired."

He needs more playing time to gain experience. Assuming Baines and Oviedo are fit to start next season, he's not likely to get it here.

Despite the quality they showed last season, Bournemouth may well struggle next season. Playing next to Distin could be a steep learning curve!

He's a haircut first, footballer second.

TBF, he's got some sort of ability, but it's been way overestimated. I never could understand the desperation to keep him other than from a financial point of view and Everton being short changed by a tribunal. From a footballing perspective it's not as if he'd be a massive loss.
