Im just glad that there is still the chance of him making the first team considering we got into trouble for signing him in the first place.

What's the correlation there mate?

Well he signs a new contract he is our player for another x number of years and can play his way into the team. Considering we were taken to court over him nice to see we was worth it then.

alternatively he doesnt sign and he doesnt play in the first team and we went to court for someone who we couldn't make the most of

But we weren't taken to court anyway. We went to a tribunal to decide a fee.

same thing.

plus bates still reported us for tapping him up

Not the same thing at all. There was no "court" involved, and the act of going to a tribunal is in no way indicative that the club was in "trouble." The tribunal could have said we had to pay Leeds £10 million for him, and we could have turned round and said 'sod off, changed our mind, don't want him now.'

He was out of contract, Leeds were due compo, so an independent authority was used to settle the matter.

You're right though. Same thing as going to court. I got convicted of robbing socks by the FA.

bates reported us, that could have ended up in court.

He just done a decent interview for the u21's, I'll round up what he said about stones.

"The lad was gutted but he's a good lad, he's behind all the lads but I play week in week out with the lad and he's a top lad is John LAD"

He should be begging for a contract after this tournament, hell the whole lot of those defensive players should be grateful they're professionals after that tournament.

surely he'd have to sign his extension with us first before he can be loaned out?

The commentator said he'd signed a 5 year deal and will go on loan to Bournemouth. Seems like everyone bar the club website knows, mind you this is the same website that directs you to buy Man City kits. It will be announced tomorrow on the OS that he's signed a 5 yr contract with Bournemouth and will be loaned to us for a year.
