There will be a fee involved as he is under 23.
He is an under 21 international with some first team experience.
I don't know what the compensation will be but it probably be somewhere between one and two million.
There will be a substantial signing on fee as well as salary for a relatively untried player.
It is not exactly a risk free signing....but still would offer clubs some potential value.

You are aware he's the 3rd highest assist provider in the league this season, in a team that's been playing poorly.
He's obviously been pretty effective with his assists this season which is a big bonus, however that's only one aspect to his game.

It's still fair to say he hasn't been as effective (or noticeably) in other areas of his game: pushing down the left; dead ball situations; defensively.

Although, he's not had the same level of support on the left as he's previously had, so that may play a part in two of those elements.

He may not be as 'flamboyant' as in previous seasons, but that doesn't mean he's been poor compared to the overall standard of other players.

If you set a high standard, then it's more obvious if you do not reach those level again. Still a good player... but it will give Luke some thoughts.

I'd cash in on Baines end of the season tbh. Somebody might offer us 10/15m for him and it'd be a great deal, esp with us having Oviedo and Garbutt already. That money buys us a class winger and a decent centre back, and we'd be much, much stronger for it.

I am now !!.still for me,not as effective with regards all aspects of his roll on the pitch, and I appreciate you rightly mention a poorer side this season.
If the money was right,I think the Management might be interested if their looking at their replacements already bedded in the squad. oh to be the manager !!.

I think that we should sell our best players.

ITS SUPER-EFFECTIVE!

Not necessarily. He would probably earn more money with us than a lower down team and in a years time he when he would be coming back to start here instead of playing for a lower down team. It all depends on Baines and if Bobby would move him into the middle and with Barry and Baines both aging I think that's likely.

....wherever he goes he will be on very good money because no transfer fee is involved. I can't see RM moving players around to accommodate this boy. We'll see.

We would have to pay him the same thing however since Everton pay more in general than the teams normally below us he would still get more here. e.g. Players choose Chelsea even though they know they will go out on loan because Chelsea offer them more.

I would be surprised if a team lower than us offers him more. He's most likely going for guaranteed game time.

That's some way of repaying Baine with his loyalty and not putting in a transfer request to go to Utd. Baines is still top class. He might have dropped slightly down a level but he's still one of our most consistent performers however that doesn't rule out a move into the Barry position.

.....and the mega signing fee. He could literally pocket £1m plus in a signing fee because no transfer is involved.

There's not really any space for sentiment in the game any more.

Look where he has gotten us. Hibbert and Osman rewarded nearly year-on-year with new deals, both nowhere to be seen and now classed as a massive drain on resources by most of the fans.
