I hope that is not the case. I do not believe in the carrot and stick approach. What matters to me is the good of the club and contract signed or not if it is good for the club play him.

Looking at this from Garbuts angle where would he go? Certainly not to teams higher than us,he just would noy get a game. He could drop down,but wouldn't be worth it to him to be a bit more patient?

....I suspect there'll be a Premiership manager willing to take a punt, indeed I wouldn't be surprised if a deal is all but done. Looking at it from his angle, he'll pocket a small fortune and at least double his salary via a Bosman. He'll also have a realistic chance of game time. Bit of a no brainer really.
