Ibe was all over Oviedo in the first half.Much better second half mind. Hope the lad signs a new contract although I could understand given the quality he has ahead of him and how it will make it difficult to get opportunities If he decided to go elsewhere for playing time.

I hope Garbutt signs a new deal,I think he could well be an important player in the future,I don't really see Oviedo as a left back more of a left midfielder,Garbutt looks much more of a direct replacement for Baines. If he could stay patient in a couple of seasons or less he could well be our regular LB,if you look at these players Stones,Besic,McCarthy,Lukaku,Coleman,Barkley add Garbutt with them, that's a very good team of youngsters.

As soon as he signs hes off to Bolton on loan

Good. He needs a few months of football at a good level to really push him on for next season. Obvs needs to sign a contract here first.

Personally think he'll make a better long term LB than Oveido and I'd even hazard a guess, that "long term" i think he'll be a better player than Luke Shaw!

....playing time might be a key driver but the other major factor is lucrative Bosman. He's in a win, win, win situation and the club isn't.

Surely the lads not that billy big bollocks that he thinks he should be ahead of Baines currently? Also should realise Oveido is a international player and he's gonna be looking at a couple more years until he can nail down that position at LB.

He should be looking to learn as much as he can off Baines with the view of being his successor. And taking any opportunitys in the mean time that come his way. Either with us or any good loan deals that become available.

Personally think he could go out on loan to a PL team next season for a good year of experience.

Rumours out of Harrogate is that he thinks signing a contract with us and playing for Bolton next season is a joke considering his family are big Rangers supporters. He also said " If I want to play in the championship, I'd stay at Everton"

Don't get the Rangers bit but if the rest is true...big if.....then we're better off without an attitude like that, more suited to that lot over the park

I'm sure he does realise all that, he'll idolise Baines, not think he's better than him. He just knows he's too good and old to be sitting in the reserves and that's totally correct. I would love for him to sign, go on loan to Championship side for the rest of this season, then to a prem side for all of next season, then come back to start taking over from Baines in 2016/17. Though he may not want to be on loan all that time of course which is totally fair enough.

The fuss made over this no mark is unreal.

Get him sold and make him someone else's problem. The lad's an obvious wrongun.
