If you include Unsworth ( bear in mind he's been part of his U23's ), four managers have deemed him not good enough to be anywhere near the first team.

There has to be a reason for this and it can only be be he's not good enough.

I don't think he's registered to play for the first team that's Garbutt not Unsworth lol.

It depends.

Replacing him for now is clearly a priority, as striker is probably the most important position. But he’s athletic, good in the air and hard working. His goalscoring, which unfortunately is the most important thing, obviously could be better.

Is he “ok” for a title chasing side? Obviously not. Is he one of our worst players? Not at all.

I've just looked Garbutt couldn't play for the first team until January, so we will never know if he would have played under Unsworth or Sam up to now. So he may or may no be good enough, but he couldn't play anyway, We can go by Koemans judgement either because look at the mess he left us in.

Yes they hadn't done there research there. So it might have been just Koeman judged him as not good enough, but the way Koeman judged thing was very odd, so we can disregard him.

We're all aware that Koeman never registered him, however from what I can gather he could now be registered and it wouldn't appear that he isn't going to be.

I actually thinks he's a tidy player which actually makes him look better than he is, but as a striker he is very average imo no better than a championship striker. I'd actually like us to get another striker in and loan him out to work on his game more, but I'm not sure he will make it here. But may be wrong I just dont really rate him god enough for us.

If we don't get another in it would be stupid not to register him as he would be an option.

The amount of rumours that have surrounded the fact he’s not playing instead of Martina is tiring.

How come Cenk can be brought in and play immediately and not have to wait until the new squad is picked at the end of January, but Garbutt can't?

Garbutt could be played if registered now. If he is registered now though, that would take up a squad place and any incoming players may not have a place. Fingers crossed that means we are actually planning to sign a LB.
