It wasnt costing 7m for Joe Hart and it seems as tho Koeman ruled him out cos he didnt want to fight for his place here or at City.
It's seemed funny the day after the 7 million loan rate for Hart was in the media Koeman said No to Hart, now it's been greatly reduced to all interested clubs even Sunderland!

Probably because out of the clubs they thought had an interest we would be the only one capable of paying that kind of fee/wage mate?

I think you might be in a better position to understand that when the window slams shut and we have Robles and S'ton's #2 to soldier on with.

Right, so you can as good as freely accuse me of being one of these 'bedwetters' who are stamping their feet, wanting players sold, and wanting billions spunked right here & now (As you implied I was in the McCarthy thread last night - regardless of me even mentioning if I wanted him sold or not).

Yet when I say I'm happy enough with Stekelenburg, you turn into what you've implied of me. Hmmm...:coffee:

Really out of our imaginary 100 million pound war chest you mean, and our manager not interested you mean the only way Hart will come here is on cheap terms on loan!

No mate, because if you look at the teams who would actually need a starting first choice keeper in the league we are the ones who are capable of paying by far the highest wage out of those teams, so when we ruled ourselves out then City have dropped the demands so the likes of Sudnerland etc can afford to bring him in

Eh?

I accused you of nothing. I said that if you're happy with the way the GK situation is and dont want it changed until at least January then you'll repent at leisure.

It's nice that Stekelenburg held the fort in the early part of the season. But he's never a #1. So why would you persist with him?

Koeman needs to nail this before Wednesday.

Maybe City just do not want to sell him to us as his heads that big it won't fit in between our goal nets?

Our best one ever was a bin man

Our last one had Tourettes

This ones half deaf

Wonder what's wrong with Robles?
still like the guy remember him in the league cup at home last season had a great game!
Looks like Jim Carey maybelol

Stekelenburg has shown so far this season he is more than capable of being our number 1. For the reported 750k we paid it seems an absolute steal Atm. There are more pressing areas that need strengthening in the next 72 hours, namely Centre Forward and a playmaker.

Did alright for the Dutch as there number one though didn't he mate?

When did Robles let us down last season name one game he had a nightmare you could have wrote a book on Timmys clangers, nightmare games costing us points - Norwich at home in the league cup Robles MOTM!

Personally not impressed by him. It's like he will be forever a no.2 or no.3 keeper.

This season consists of 4 and a half hours of football though.

We need better than him. We can settle with him in and he'll do ok. Is that what we're looking for though - "ok"?

I thought all the talk when Howard was wobbling and Robles looked barley better that we needed to go out and get a top class GK in who'll serve us for years to come?

How soon we forget and how little we accept.
