Spurs and City surely would've both been losses. Fantastic saves in both of those. Where do you get the other 3? I'm sure they're out there. Been a top keeper has Stek.

Against west brom he made a 1 on 1 save and another while the game was at 1-0 ... I'm assuming that we wouldn't have come back from 2-0 down to win and would have probably lost. I think against Stoke he had an important save too... but I'm only counting the west brom match.

Yes probably was better, under more pressure back then but Stekelenberg was impressive

He was outstanding ... that was a performance of Nige and southall standard ( apart from letting in the goal ) which wasn't his fault and he nearly got there. Thing is southall did that constantly when needed. He truely is the best player in his postition that I have ever seen.

Not sure were to put this so i thought it would be here

Papers this weekend linking us and City with Pickford at Sunderland (lazy journalism probably i know)

would be an ideal replacement long term for Stek, in theory sign him in Jan and loan him back to Sunderland for 18 months if they want him, if they dont im sure someone else will.

Although on todays prices we are probably looking at 15 million squid

Would be a great signing but if he came he'd be straight into the squad (not loaned out) - and I probably next summer - especially if they go down.

Him and then Stek as back-up (loan Robles out / sell him) would see us set imo)

Realisticly i dont think Ron will just drop Stek to the bench for a relativly un-tested kid

But I doubt he'll be sold in January was my point mate.

I'd imagine any deal for him leaving (which he surely will) would be next summer.

I think Stek has been great, but we will definitely need a 'long term' first-choice next summer.

Not an untested kid as first choice though. How can he replace Stek what make you think he is better than Stek?

Not saying Robles did badly when he got the chance, but he hasn't impressed me like Stek.
Robles looks to me a very ordinary keeper. He hasn't done badly but he's never done anything to suggest to me he will he ever be anything but average . I'd be happy to see him sold and replaced with a more promising young keeper. If we can find one of course.
Steklenburg has made the spot his for now. No complaints from me.
