I thought we were horrendously unlucky with their second goal; killed the game off. at least three times we tried to play the offside trap first half and they were onside, which ultimately cost us.

I don't even know what to say. I feel we're on such a fine thread, moyes could go, felli could go, baines could go and then next season we're in the same boat as Aston Villa.......and I'm a positive blue

Assuming we spend that money as stupidly as they did, which would be difficult.

Heitinga was fully at fault for the first goal, and partly at fault for the second (mainly Neville). He definitely made a **** effort of clearing it

Can't agree with that. I'm as pissed off with Johnny as anyone, lately, but his only sin was being too short - not tall enough - to head the ball away for their first.

Having said that, Shane Duffy looked really pissed off when the camera went over him and Jela later. Was any thought given to putting him in - Duffy - when Distan had to pull out? If he'd been on the spot I don't think the ball would've got to Giggs.

I don't think Heitinga could've kept the second one out. There was too much pace on it and anyway, you couldn't fault his effort.

Overall, i'm sorry we lost, of course, but I didn't think they were much better than us.

Sat in united end yesterday. Proper prawn sandwich brigade seats. Horrid 90 mins sat there listening to them. 2nd goal was right in line with where I was sat. Neville sat too deep and played him onside and had done it about 3 times before but the ball just didn't quite get played through.

We weren't that bad, just not that good either. A goal in that spell of pressure we had 1st half was essential. 2nd half we showed no fight which was disappointing. 4th place isn't lost in games like that though. They are a good side and were at full strength. If we'd beaten villa last week, this would have mattered less. 4th will move away from us now. We must push for FA Cup now.

Just to put this in perspective, many of the draws we've had this year are far worse results than losing away to the best team in the league. We've still taken 3 points off them this season.

They were better than us, we didn't deserve anything out of the game.

this attitude of 'sure weren't we lucky to be on the same pitch as utd' is b*llox, we beat them very well just a few months back so we should have been going out to beat them again - unfortuantely i think that 2nd half display is the result of our small squad starting to get worn down and the lack of competition and fresh faces in has just compounded our inertness - I think it'll be the end of the season before it dawns on the club what a massive c*ck up it was to not invest in a few players in january when we genuinely had a great chance of getting champions league.....

Why wpuld you put Naigood on? Stick Oviedo on FFS at least he has pace.

I've been a Moyes supporter, mostly, over the years, but it's things like that which make me wonder. We haven't seen much of Oviedo, but on what we have seen I'd back him to lift the game before Naismith.

Yeah .... erm.... he could have stayed with us.... and won.....oh nothing. .

Not saying he should've stayed (although I think he owed us a season or two). I'm saying it's still a shame to see him debate a throw in against us for example, like his life depends on it. Was such a huge blue aswell, to see him in a Manchester United shirt against us will always touch a nerve.
