Walk more , drink plenty of water and calorie count.Does anyone here do this, if so is it worth it?
I'm 140kg at the minute, need to lose about 4 stone for medical reasons. I play golf about once a fortnight and I'm looking for other stuff to do.
Easy read, hard doneIts intake and mobility.
You need to fight through hunger unfortunately. Smaller meals or only eat 3/4 of it. Don't eat three meals a day. Throw out almost everything with sugar in it and when your shopping avoid the urge to buy crap. Drink water.
Skip breakfast and have an egg and lettuce sandwich at about 1030.
Go for a walk every morning and every night.
Weigh yourself every day. When the first person looks at you and asks if you've lost weight, you'll be absolutely made up.
Its all about hunger though, and you're going to have to fight that bitch like your life depends on it.

I was almost exactly the same weight when I started. 110kg at the minute with a radically different body composition. It’s taken 3 years, but lockdowns and a couple of injuries played their part. My advice/process, for anything it might be worth:Does anyone here do this, if so is it worth it?

I had knee surgery about 3 years ago now which stopped me playing football and running regularly, I used to be quite active getting out for a run 3-4 times a week and playing footy once a week.
I can still play or run now but I’m in agony for days afterwards, which resulted in me hanging my boots up around May/Jun this year. It’s proved difficult to keep the weight off as well as I had done, however I find walking really helps.
Whenever I start to put noticeable weight on, I’ll go for walks in the morning and on my dinner, then change my diet so I eat majority protein. It really helps and is nowhere near the exertion I was putting out when I was running and playing footy.
Getting out for an hours walk with a podcast or a soundcloud mix on is one of my favourite things to do now. Feel so much better after it.
Good luck with it, mate.

I started by eating only at mealtimes for a couple of weeks. Doesn’t matter what you eat, just nothing between designated meals.
After that I set an achievable calorie target for the next couple of weeks and planned ahead (vital for me) so it became harder to reach for crap food on impulse.
I started working exercise in. For me it was 3x gym sessions a week, working up to 5 (Mon-Fri) after a couple of weeks.
MyFitnessPal is your friend. Easy to THINK you’re in a calorie deficit but a different story when you start to get a feel for the calorie and macro values of what you eat regularly.
I’m up to 6x workouts a week and 2x martial arts classes of an evening. I still track calories but I defo still afford myself a few drinks or a day or two off MFP now and again. I eat food I love, I’m just a lot smarter about what to eat and in what quantities. Lots of protein will keep you feeling fuller for longer, as well as the benefits when it comes to muscle repair etc. Lots of water is essential. So many times I’ve felt hungry, smashed a pint of water down and realised that I was thirsty, after all.
To belatedly answer your question: Yes, anything that gets you moving and enjoying yourself is worth it. It might not be the long term answer but it’s a great start.
Best of luck mate. There’s a lot of “eat less, move more” dismissive answers in here and, while it’s not incorrect, nor is it helpful. You have a poor relationship with food and exercise and that has to be addressed gradually. Quick fixes almost never work. Always about via PM if you need some moral support from a fat lad still trying to fight the good fight.
4 stone of ugly fat he says?
His head should cover most of that.
I still would mate ??No one mentioned ugly son, I'm like a beluga whale chubby yet strangely attractive
I still would mate ??
