I want to be NEA anymore. Cant take much more of this frustration , Im a fan over 30 years now and am used to the losing and crap seasons , crap players , no money etc but this is pretty bad.
Dont remember being this meh about an Everton game in a long time. And its a semi final!
what the feck is wrong!!!!
78 times bitten twice shy I suppose.
I will cut two holes in a newspaper and watch it pretending Im reading. When we concede a goal from another defensive blunder I will switch over to Masterchef to pretened I am NEA , then fume at some nerd for overcooking the cabbage.
The fact THEY are in the final aswell! if we get through it could be the start of soemthing great if we win , or it could be the final nail for many if we lose in the pathetic self destructive shambolic or unlucky or robbed by bent refs way we have been doing this season.
Everton

Whether or not we win this cup isn't the issue. It's the fact that a team with so much talent has consistently failed to produce the results
it's capable of for so long.

A brief lapse in form is one thing, but the manager must take responsibility for what's happening here and good results over the next week or so
are essential.

If we go out of this cup and fail to win both of our next two matches there can be no excuses.

I think we ran out of excuses on Sunday, but finhers crossed for tonight.

Were to going to win tonight mark my words.I think we will take out a lot of anger and frustration from the Swansea game on City tonight.I would be skeptical of Martinez at the best of times but when we win this competition he will have the distinction of being the first Everton manager to beat Liverpool in a final on his CV.Our road to greatness starts tonight.Just get out there and do it lads.;)

Not to sound too pessamistic here.

I could take losing tonight under most circumstances, but last nights result has made the thought of possibly not making the final even worse.

We have to win tonight, we really have to. We at least have to make sure the derby is still played on the 28th, and we at least have to attempt again to break the derby and league cup curse.

Neither us or city are in good form atm. Both conceding goals and not scoring to many of late either too.Whils some of our individuals have been out of form or poor lately, Silva and a number of their players have been also. They are still missing Konpany too so back 4 are less than solid. There will be goals tonight, im certain.

If Saturday did one thing, it must have made the players look at themselves as they heard the boos and discontent from the same people that love them. Martinez's comments after the game , can of only fueled their feelings and if not they shouldnt have that royal blue shirt on their back! I hope and imagine that this will be there for us all to see tonight. Yes, our manager and the club many some major issues to deal with, this doesn't however take away the genuine talent our young, attacking team has. Please god let that shine tonight!! I think we will see a reaction in a positive manner. Us and City are defensively both poor and it has to be said unlucky in many games lately. Getting through tonight could have a positive effect in the players collectively going forward and give the fans the chance of a visit to Wembley. Great chance of beating the rubbish across the park in a final at stake. Lets wear our shirts and scarves, get behind them, shout for our great club for as long and loud as we can.We have a chance here to not only get them to Wembley, but also help set a marker for the rest of the season. Exactly. This manager and team can achieve legendary status with one draw and a win next month.

On the other hand...

Everton

I feel you

Nor could anyone expect you to.

Monumental game and Martinez has to get us into the final.
And then win it.

Why does he have to?

His job shouldn't (and won't anyway) rest on this game.

We can go there and win, he has said that. We're going there to win, he has said that.

He'll do all he can to get us there, but it's equally as down to the players.

If we don't get through, it's really not the end of the world.

We have a 2-1 lead.We are within sniffing distance of our first trophy in 21 years.A playing career is all about getting as many medals and trophies on the sideboard as you can. This team and manager have a wonderful window of opportunity both tonight and in the final when we hopefully get there to make their mark on the history of this football club.We were serial bottlers in the big games under David Moyes but now's our chance to buck that trend. This game could our Kevin Brock back pass moment. The flip slide of that is another glorious window of opportunity flushed down the toilet.
