Looking forward to this one, and can see us stealing a narrow victory in a typical mid-December topsy-turvy game.

Manchester City 2 Everton 3

They’ve conceded about 4 goals all season. Haven’t dropped a point at home. We’ve won 4 away games in a season and a half (only 1 this season), none at a top 6 side, only once to a top ten team. We have only scored once away from home to a top 6 team this season and that was a penalty v United when we were already down and out. It’s great to have a gut feeling but there’s literally no statistical indicator for the score line you are suggesting here.

No, maybe not... but that is such a Big Sam type thing to say right there. Brilliant lol

If anyone can honestly say that they would turn back the clock to 2014 when we got beat by City so that Everton won then you’re a complete liar. We’d have still finished 5th and Liverpool would have won the league by a point. This is the exact same scenario. What’s the use to of us of taking a point or three when you know full well we’ll choke at home against the next mod table side we face. City to run through us and keep the RS mutants away from the trophy for another year. Not even sorry.

Well it isn't at all, is it?

Bang a tenner on us. The stars have aligned

I will take it lol, only 1 home league defeat in 2 years for them, that man utd 3-2 win when city were 2up

There’s no pressure on our lion hearted lads to win this...so they will perform well I think. Well enough to win? lol ...no, but the score might not be a blow-out
Spurs at home should be ok as well No one expects Everton to beat a Top 6 side so a respectable loss is in the offing there.
No, it’s against our ‘best of the rest’ peer group (Bournemouth, Watford, West Ham, Wolves,Leicester) that I get nervous regarding how our lads will cope with the pressure. If some munificent god offered me a draw in all the rest of the season’s pressure games, I’d bite their hand off. 40 points and safety and our lion hearts in blue will have done us all proud!

Haha it is hilarious to see people say they have a feeling we can nick these kinds of games. I don't think they've actually watched us for the last 20 years.

Anything like the last two performances and we'll get a hiding. Let's hope that's a blip and we give these a game, if they're under par and we're on it then it's a good chance to turn them over....some big ifs in there though.

Sterling? Made a great point in his post and it's no secret that there is often an imbalance in reporting on young black players, none more so than Raheem himself.

But shouldn't the Goodison crowd be their usual largely apathetic self concerning the opposition with some minor booing and maybe a touch more for Sterling because he played for the RS? Of course if he starts diving, gets away with a card or just acting the bell then he'll get booed a bit more like any oppo player.

Or is the narrative in football now more important than the game itself and any booing or negativity will be misrepresented?

When we were bad in the 80s and 90s, there used to be a religious guy stood every home game at the entrance to the Kippax at Maine Road with a 'the end is nigh' placard held aloft.

I think I should flog you each one of these outside your south stand entrance Saturday.... Or just bring a white flag and wave it instead;)

Sound like a kopite mate. Expected better from City fans
