Manchester City's Sham Trial

I’m sure these “long suffering” City fans from Manchester who have been to every game for the past half century (as they all say they are) will be fine travelling all round Europe and the Middle East every weekend to watch the team in the Super League, and on the off chance they can’t make the game, I’m sure they’ll be happy paying several hundred pounds a month to the multiple streaming services required to watch the games at home.
It depends if other teams try bullying them into agreeing to join the super league again.

We need the city fans back, this thread has lost its edge
They are struggling to come to terms with the news that they’re entitled cheating swamp creatures and they are not universally worshipped by fans of other clubs, as some sort of outsiders of the elite.

Will take them a while but sure they can figure out some way to keep believing the lies they perpetuate.

You clearly know very little about it and as usual are just spouting any old nonsense. The only English clubs in the loop for the propsosed super league were Livepool, Utd and Arsenal. Once they had everything in place they gave City 24 hours notice to either join or be left behind. Afraid of being left behind they agreed to join. Then they saw the backlash from our fans, and they were the first club to back out. It certainly wasn't like the situation Everton were in when they along with the rags, spurs etc became the first true scabs of football and formed the breakaway Premier league, all so they could have a larger portion of the pie. All this bleating about clubs forming a breakaway super league is nothing your club hasn't done before.

‘Right Liverpool, that’s everything in order for us 5 to join the super league. Spurs are in, Arsenal and Chelsea of course. Can’t help feeling we are missing someone…’

‘Did anyone ask Man City? I mean they have won just about every trophy the last 5 years and have the most cash’

‘Ok ok. I guess we should ask them. Certainly don’t want to get on their bad side. They are an institution renowned for their ethical practices mind you so might be reluctant to get on board’

Do you consider Manchester City before and after the takeover to be the same club?

Interesting to see how far supporters would back the owners.

How far would I back them? When we joined the super league I was done. That was it. I could not get my head around why we would get into bed with the very people who tried to destroy us. If City had not pulled out I would have waved bye bye to football. Are we the same club ? That depends entirely on how you measure it. The owners we have now have done far more for the fans than Peter Swales ever did.
