Manchester City's Sham Trial

How far would I back them? When we joined the super league I was done. That was it. I could not get my head around why we would get into bed with the very people who tried to destroy us. If City had not pulled out I would have waved bye bye to football. Are we the same club ? That depends entirely on how you measure it. The owners we have now have done far more for the fans than Peter Swales ever did.
Hey Bertie you talk garbage24/7,you are trying to convince people that wastelands are a plucky little club that have defied all the odds and overcome all the odds to win a few titles and overcome evil empires in this so called incredible struggles, the reality you are Abu Dhabi and cheats as well

You clearly know very little about it and as usual are just spouting any old nonsense. The only English clubs in the loop for the propsosed super league were Livepool, Utd and Arsenal. Once they had everything in place they gave City 24 hours notice to either join or be left behind. Afraid of being left behind they agreed to join. Then they saw the backlash from our fans, and they were the first club to back out. It certainly wasn't like the situation Everton were in when they along with the rags, spurs etc became the first true scabs of football and formed the breakaway Premier league, all so they could have a larger portion of the pie. All this bleating about clubs forming a breakaway super league is nothing your club hasn't done before.

This is a wind up surely.

A 24 hour ultimatum for something like this doesn't make sense in any reality?

Well, Chelsea were the first to begin preparation of documents to pull out, City were just the first to say they were, then they pulled out.

I get that it was mostly driven by Liverpool, United and Arsenal. Most likely due to their American owners.... but.... 24 hours notice? Are you being serious? You genuinely think that City made their mind up to pull out of a competition that they had spent the best part of £1.5bn trying to compete in and win. Give it a rest lad. City were as much a part in all of this as the other 5 were, they were offered more monetary return from a competition, and decided they wanted it.

Also, don't go acting all high and mighty saying that Everton are scabs for creating the EPL. There are a number of main differences, firstly, the EPL was created to give power to all member clubs equally regardless of who was/wasn't in it. All have an equal say. This is vastly different to what your club signed up to, and I have absolutely no doubt had a say in.

City fans have had some great moments, honestly, I hope you enjoyed every single one of them and I'm sure you did, but don't go getting all high and mighty about it like your owned by somebody who just wants to see the best for all people of all faiths and creed and is so heavily invested in Manchester that all their decisions are based around making sure that the fans are OK and wealth is shared, cause they aren't. City have just been a vehicle for them to sports wash, a particularly successful one as it goes as none of you will hear anything about it and go so far as to join opposition team forums to back them.

They bought you cause you were available after the absolute mess you had got into with Thaksin Shinawatra, they bought you because the place was an absolute shithole and Manchester City Council would let them go through with anything just to get the place cleaned up, most planning restrictions were lifted because the place was that bad.. They bought you because they wanted into the EPL and to make use of the coverage that afforded them for their sportswashing activities and to help support their diversification in business.

Enjoy it all you want, but don't deny it, it just makes you look like a tit.

If City have broke the rules, I hope to God you have the book thrown at you, like genuine relegation through a number of levels, start again from scratch. I also hope you recover from it and return to top level football, I just hope you do so with a bit of humility.

If we are guilty then your new CEO is guilty too. You know the one you poached in a vain attempt to copy us. How's life in 13th place? Must be a bit sobering after spending all that money and continue to be crap. At least your mates at the Prem can help you cheat psr again in an attempt to keep you relevant.

We are 14th and yes we are garbage and have been for a few years, but even our bleakest moments we have managed to win a few Cups and the Europa League over the past decade ,in city case you went 35 years without a trophy until the oil barrels arrived

My memory was that Chelsea fans led the outrage, could be Mandela effect, but I thought they were playing the night of the announcement and their fans kicked off.

That's exactly what happened. They even sent out Petr Cech to quell the masses. They began to prepare the documentation to pull out from that response before announcing it. City just announced it before they started to. Probably a PR exercise that some have fallen for... maybe....

I've genuinely no recollection of any outrage from city fans, that being said they have a tendency of rolling over and having their bellies tickled by murderers

I think because Man City are listed fourth it is perfectly reasonable to conclude that they didn’t actually want to join the ESL and they were bullied into screwing over the entire sport, fanbase and spirit of competition and were forced, possibly at gunpoint to join the rest of the clubs.

The fact the list is alphabetical is not relevant in this case and Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, the Earth is flat and water is dry.

Lot of willy waving in here.

Just for complete clarification, Man U and Liverpool are everything that is wrong with the premier league. They are the biggest brands due to desperate, trophy hunting internet warrior supporters from afar, and after trying to demand more TV money than other clubs and for their part in the super league, they will always be the real scabs of the league.

City for their part, if they have broken any rules will be rightly punished and they cannot complain.

The PL stinks though and is geared up to stop another city happening. They cannot have the cartel of Man U and Liverpool not challenging, it ruins the world wide fan appeal of the PL.
