You clearly know very little about it and as usual are just spouting any old nonsense. The only English clubs in the loop for the propsosed super league were Livepool, Utd and Arsenal. Once they had everything in place they gave City 24 hours notice to either join or be left behind. Afraid of being left behind they agreed to join. Then they saw the backlash from our fans, and they were the first club to back out. It certainly wasn't like the situation Everton were in when they along with the rags, spurs etc became the first true scabs of football and formed the breakaway Premier league, all so they could have a larger portion of the pie. All this bleating about clubs forming a breakaway super league is nothing your club hasn't done before.
Well, Chelsea were the first to begin preparation of documents to pull out, City were just the first to say they were, then they pulled out.
I get that it was mostly driven by Liverpool, United and Arsenal. Most likely due to their American owners.... but.... 24 hours notice? Are you being serious? You genuinely think that City made their mind up to pull out of a competition that they had spent the best part of £1.5bn trying to compete in and win. Give it a rest lad. City were as much a part in all of this as the other 5 were, they were offered more monetary return from a competition, and decided they wanted it.
Also, don't go acting all high and mighty saying that Everton are scabs for creating the EPL. There are a number of main differences, firstly, the EPL was created to give power to all member clubs equally regardless of who was/wasn't in it. All have an equal say. This is vastly different to what your club signed up to, and I have absolutely no doubt had a say in.
City fans have had some great moments, honestly, I hope you enjoyed every single one of them and I'm sure you did, but don't go getting all high and mighty about it like your owned by somebody who just wants to see the best for all people of all faiths and creed and is so heavily invested in Manchester that all their decisions are based around making sure that the fans are OK and wealth is shared, cause they aren't. City have just been a vehicle for them to sports wash, a particularly successful one as it goes as none of you will hear anything about it and go so far as to join opposition team forums to back them.
They bought you cause you were available after the absolute mess you had got into with Thaksin Shinawatra, they bought you because the place was an absolute shithole and Manchester City Council would let them go through with anything just to get the place cleaned up, most planning restrictions were lifted because the place was that bad.. They bought you because they wanted into the EPL and to make use of the coverage that afforded them for their sportswashing activities and to help support their diversification in business.
Enjoy it all you want, but don't deny it, it just makes you look like a tit.
If City have broke the rules, I hope to God you have the book thrown at you, like genuine relegation through a number of levels, start again from scratch. I also hope you recover from it and return to top level football, I just hope you do so with a bit of humility.
