That Utd side was there for the taking today. We were pressing them early on and looked as though we were up for it. Yet again though..no guts to carry it through. This lazy, sloppy looking stand back, swing one leg passing then stand still to admire it...usually sideways to someone who doesnt want the ball..or to the opposition. Players on massive contracts who cant even cross the ball to a blue shirt..and those players cant even make an intelligent run to assist the myopic dead-ball takers anyway. Coleman looks as if her indoors has had him up doin the 2am feed since the little un was born..hes knackered. Blame Martinez all you like...and Ive criticised him too. However, some of them in our precious shirt arent capable of sustaining any high tempo performance. It shouldnt go up and down in acknowledged good/classy players. Theyre either knackered or have lost it. Or worse still, both.

Finally a reasonable post by someone.

Wouldnt say we dominated but we matched them and with a bit of luck could have won. We at least deserved a draw.

I don't detect this "Moyes nostalgia" of which you speak.

I know no one among the matchgoers I speak to and I am hard pushed to think of any posters on here who want Moyes back....at any price.

I will say one think in Bobby's favour.....at least when we go to OT under him I feel we can win the game.

I never got that feeling when Moyes was here.

Moyes is gone and he ain't coming back.

We gave a much more imminent danger to deal with........a relegation scrap next season if Bobby us allowed to stay in charge.

I agree with you on Moyes going to old Trafford but a lot of that was down to the Utd team at the time. It just happened to be that the United team and the fear of going to a old Trafford for most teams disappeared when Ferguson went.

Good point.

But there were some bad RS teams ar The Pit during his tenure and he couldn't buy a win there either :(

What does the manager actually do ?

Everton captain Phil Jagielka has admitted that he and his side don’t know who how to turn around the poor run of league form which was added to with a defeat at Old Trafford this afternoon.

Jagielka had Everton’s only chance on target this afternoon in a disappointing defeat despite an impressive first half performance.

He said, “I think when you come to come to a place like Man U and you’re goalkeeper hasn’t really had too much to do but you end up losing 1-0 then it’s a little bit frustrating.

“But we’ve got to try and pick ourselves up now as we’re on a bit of a disappointing run at the moment and the only way we can correct that is to try and look forward to the next game.

“We didn’t take our chance. Obviously my one that hit the bar was probably the best and then a cross takes a slight nick and we fail to defend it properly.”

When asked if he knew how to turn things around, Jagielka replied, “I don’t know.

“Obviously we need to keep playing to our strengths and try and find some confidence.

“We’ve got some big games coming up before the semi final and if you want to play in the semi final then you’ve got to make sure your form is pretty decent in the league.

“There’s a lot to play for between now and then and it’s up to us as players to turn this little run of losses into something a little bit better.”
