I’ve used that term before. Couldn’t agree more.

The problem with United is, they can’t afford to tear it all down, like we’re doing, because if they get left behind, they lose all the sponsors, then they’d really be in trouble.

But I’m just bewildered. Just stuck SSN on then, and seen some fella from MEN saying how disrespectful it was to United fans for even considering signing Arnautovic?

Going on to explain that fans were prepared to hand back season tickets if they signed him.

What a bunch of self entitled idiots. Demanded a new era under Ten Hag, immediately undermine him.

The thing that I really don't get about this Arnautovic saga is the fact that he is nowhere near bad enough to warrant this reaction. A regular international and played in the league with relative success before. Is he that much worse than what they already have, I very much doubt it?

I think the fans are still struggling to accept their new place in the English football hierarchy.

Can’t see Ten Hag getting very long if the fans are this hysterical. Really is a poisoned chalice.
 
i am afraid that the saga at United is now offically a farce , since the end of last season which was a disaster the people in control have seen 5 or 6 players leave and brought in a free transfer eriksen a19 year full back from holland and 55 million central defender from ajax , since sundays appalling performance wqe have been linked with several players and withdrawn from some because of negative media and supposedly negative fan reaction , do the owners and manager decide on transfer by what other people think, the blame lies at the top where we have people who borrowed to buy the club , then put the club in debt and have took money out of the club for themselves and not spent a single penny on anything like the stadium , players etc , this is the major problem that we have theses parasites in charge

I just find it bizarre.

They’ve tried the superstar route, and it didn’t work or improve them? Why not get a group of players who are desperate to play for them and run through brick walls.

Fans are a joke. He’s managed one game and on his back.

They have a plan? In all seriousness, Ten Hag may have a plan, but is this the plan of a club or part of a wider strategy to make them competitive?

I can't say I know United in too much detail, yet from outside and from speaking to United fans what are the likes of Murtough, O'Boyle and Fletcher trying to do?

They should be looking at where they need to improve and using their obvious financial clout to buy one player at a time to build an XI to compete, then the squad.

Instead, it comes across as they're still buying in some form of knee-jerk, scatter-gun approach. De Jong doesn't want to go there, but they're persisting.

Rightly or wrongly, Ten Hag won't last there as it's easier for them to keep spending rather than be patient and build over a number of years.

As long as United keep playing with Fred and McTominay, they're going to struggle.
