Manchester United

Surprised Conte hasn’t been heavily backed in.

Thomas Frank doesn’t have the minerals, nor does Potter. It’s too early for McKenna

Southgate would be an absolute reach and I’m not sure the likes of Xavi or Zidane could do this role.

IMO, Ancelotti would be the man for Utd to go and get. If not, Conte is the next best bet. I bet they’re gutted they didn’t pull the trigger earlier when Tuchel was available.
Only just gone napoli and top of the league isnt he?

Rooney. Taps nose.

The Roberto Martinez of United. Looked like exactly the right type of manager they needed in the first season, made some big calls and saw them pay off.

Second season when he'd grabbed more power for himself he showed how clueless his ideas actually were. Made some appalling signings. Stopped getting the rub of the green like previously. Didn't cope well under pressure. Club should have had the bottle to pull the plug but never.

More of the same in the third year, wheels well and truly come off whilst he's spouting pure delusion in his interviews. Fans just relieved it's finally over.

I don't agree with all these "he's a good man" tributes. He did Sancho dirty (player is a bell himself tbh), often was rude to reporters and also pushed hard for Greenwood to be re-integrated. Always come across to me as a little egomaniac tool.

….indication is they’ve been sounding out and even interviewing people for a while, perhaps they talked to Tuchel and it was never happening.

I can remember as a kid in 74 we were relegated 6 years before in 68 we won the European Cup , Busby retired we appointed Wilf McGuiness and the Frank O Farrell they lasted a couple of years both lost their hair and had nervous breakdowns and the whole thing went to pot , we then had Docherty won the Cup in 77 stopping your neighbours winning the treble and then Docherty copped for the physios wife Laurie Brown who i believe gave the Doc a right hook and then the Doc was sacked , just shows you never can be certain of anything
So we can look forward to fisticuffs at Carrington after scandalous affaires?

What are the odds for Giggs or Rooney?
