Silva took over half way through a season with a horrendous Hull team, nearly got them to stay up. It was not his fault they got relegated
he had them out of the relegation zone but drifted back into it when the players reverted to type.

just like what happened at Watford

he's got form has Silva

Marcel Brands this summer more than 100 million euros to get the transfer market by storm with his new club Everton. If it is necessary, the club still over that amount.

Owner Farhad Moshiri, who previously won as a trainer Ronald Koeman, connecting with the topzes at all costs want to of the English Premier League. "In my conversations with Marcel," said Moshiri, "is clear to me that he shares our vision that we need to open the attack on the top teams in the Premier League. He's going to make us better and make sure we get better equipment to do that. "

Doubling salary
Brands goes itself in its new role as director of football also to a higher category. At Everton he is going to earn some two million per year, more than doubling his PSV-salary. The fired Steve Walsh yesterday, already in the role of director of football, earned 1.2 million euros.

The Dutchman realizes well that he with a much better filled wallet players can go buy. "The amounts by which in England and also at Everton, are totally different than in Netherlands. The market forces that we here know is there as well, but with much larger amounts. " It does not mean that his work easier. "The larger the amount, the greater the responsibility are going to feel that connected. Sometimes it seems as if big money a bit lazy, but I don't think I'm lazy. "

Stadium
At Everton are working hard on the plans for a new stadium that is to be built along the river Mersey. Everton would particularly like to compete with city enjoyed Liverpool, that under Jürgen Klopp has made great strides but still does not have a title can conquer.

Moshiri has already stopped a lot of money in the club, but is prepared to invest further. In doing so, he would be heavily supported by the Russian billionaire Usmanov Tam, which is blocked in his attempts to take over Arsenal and now of his Arsenal shares off will.

MINO
Moshiri and Usmanov also want to do business with Mino Raiola, because that Everton can help to big names. And Raiola has for many years with Brands. It is also no coincidence that Raiola has played a major role in the appointment of the former Pro at Everton.

Brands: "first contact is via Mino, but not for the rest. MINO is a good friend of mine. That he's been since my RKC-time. " The first acquisition is not a player, but a trainer. After the dismissal of Sam Allardyce, the club quickly need a coach.

People are saying Moshiri intends to sell once we’ve build a new stadium. I don’t think so, he’s pumping in way too much cash to consider Everton as an investment tool. By the time we move into a new stadium, the spending could be close to a billion. Obviously we’re never going to be worth a billion in 3 years time, so it makes no sense to sell either. I believe he’s a abramovic type owner but not as rich.

Benitez has been relegated also. BFS has never won anything. You seem very blinkered. If Silva had taken any of the current top 6 to relegation then I would be very concerned but Hull City who were more or less already relegated before he took over are a different matter. You have to add a little balance to your argument and take into consideration the circumstances.
If we had big sam for the next 10 years I doubt we would be relegated but we wouldn't move forward...you cannot move forward with his style of play because he is just a survivalist. We Evertonians couldn't cope with it for less than 1 season never mind 10. Silvas big mistake was taking over Hull in the first place and the team was already doomed but he very nearly saved them. The kind of point I am trying to make is say Pep took over Hudderfield next season (with there resources) do you think they would finish top 6..........Not a chance.

it says his backer .. interesting as you cant obv be involved with two prem clubs ..

It does say in very broken English “now of his shares off will” which I assume means he is planning to sell his shares. And that’s enough for me. Welcome Usmanov.

The slug has left, Gravy Train Steve has left, Elstone has left, all in the space of two days.

The board has been restructured and we have a proper DOF.

We`ll have a new manager very soon.

Can we not just be happy for a few days , before we start with the moaning again ?

Thanks in advance x

A good dof sets a system and style of play for the club, hires managers who he knows fits that model and recruits players that fit it.

The only names linked all have a similar system they prefer, one that seems similar to the ones brands gas had his prior clubs operating in.

Seems for once we actually have a thought out plan.

Recruitment will be interesting as can spot 4 spots in the current squad we lack obviously for that.

Left back, confident dominant cb, pivot in centre mid or whatever the koppites call it these days, and someone with pace on both flanks.

Don't see a mass recruitment this summer but more a big clear out of ones who don't fit the style and 4 to 5 players in that do fit.

The target set should really be to finish 7th and Bevin position clear if the pack below, and in position to capitalise if any team falls off the pace in the top 6, do so with a squad age which will naturally become stronger over the next 2-3 season's as it develops.

Likes of Lozano, kluivert etc would fit that model of building for a 3 year period of developing the team.
If Arsenal get Arteta then I’d say 6th is up for grabs

Let's get this sorted so we can start moaning on the new stadium thread.

He's started drinking earlier than usual today, so I wouldn't take anything he posts too seriously tbh.
He's due to piss himself and pass out anytime soon ;)

I hope that is €100m + any sales, because we need to sell about 12 players first. Hopefully that can bring us in around £80m.

By the time we move into a new stadium, the spending could be close to a billion.

I very much doubt he’s going to plough half of his fortune into Everton.

He’s put in about £100m to date, mostly to clear the debts. Increased TV money, player sales and a new bank facility have mostly funded transfers and we all know Moshiri isn’t funding the stadium.

He may well have a medium-long term vision for the club, I doubt he will sell as soon as we get a stadium, but every decision he’s made show he is running Everton as a business and wants value.
