Delph is terrible in hindsight but I can understand why he was brought in. A smart gamble that ultimately hasn’t paid off.

Don't disagree hindsight is a great thing I suppose. I just think we should have looked at his injury record a bit more. I suppose he would have just been a squad player if Gbamin would have been fit.

And that is an analogy that doesn't scan. Nice are about to take his wages on as long as Everton sell for €2M. That type of deal could have been done before. The fact it wasn't underlines what a duffer Brands is.

If there was any interest last summer and he was willing to go, he'd have been sold in an instant, but you know that

I genuinely don't know how to get away from these sort of albatrosses we have. We have some of the worst purchases I've ever seen and cannot move a single one of them without a MASSIVE hit on what we bought them for.

Delph...Schneiderlin...Sigurdsson...Bolasie...Walcott...Tosun...Sandro...Keane... all on minimum 70 thousand a week, the top earner on around 120 thousands a week. Not a single one has ever offered us anything remotely decent on a consistent basis , some never offered us a thing ever )Sandro), and some (Delph) have actively made us worse when on the field . Can't sell a single one for even half of what we paid.
