I'm saying this as one blue to another, its really not worth getting yourself into such a frenzy over football matters. There's more to life than it, I'll love our club unconditionally till the day I die, I just don't have it in me to get worked up over the internet over someone I've never met, who doesn't know we exist individually as we are a small part of a fanbase of millions worldwide. Putting him on the board was a very silly decision, it’s almost doubling down on his position. This could be a wise move if he was proven to be capable, and loyal, but I genuinely believe he’s out of his depth.

Not sure I agree. It’s seriously heartbreaking knowing that any 18year old given 40 million could do better than Delph and Iwobi.

See that's a little extreme to me, sure there are players that can do better jobs but for every young Ronaldo, Rooney etc there's a young Barton, Johnson type that aren't good enough

I just can’t fathom that we’ve needed a RB ever since brands came in. We are still, two summers later, searching for one. We’re linked with someone he’s worked with before in arias. It makes our scouting system look dreadful. All he’s come up with is a failed punt in Sidibe. I just don’t get how most of his full time job description is to recruit players and he can’t come up with anyone else to replace Coleman. It’s obviously been an area we’ve needed to improve and we still haven’t got one. Shambles

The RB situation is really strange. Weve managed to bring in Branthwaite and Nkounkou to cover the left hand side of defence and we should have gone after a similar type at least on the right.
This summer theres Emerson and Aarons both very highly rated and available. Also Lamptey the 19 year old England u20 player who signed for Brighton from Chelsea for £4mil rising to £6mil. He looks good, or at least someone for a low fee and wage to come in for a season or two and make a profit on.
Instead of that weve gone for Sidibe (fair enough) and now looking at Florenzi (not good since major injury) and Arias (average). The only logic i could see behind this approach is if we had a u23 superstar right back coming through who needs two seasons.
On the left we have;

Branthwaite/Gibson
Gordon/Iwobi/Bernard
On the right
Coleman/Kenny
Holgate/Mina
Walcott
It seems pretty obvious what we need to do.

In all fairness to him I really don't think he's "getting into a frenzy". It's a forum, not real life. I can't for one second imagine he's genuinely angry as soon as he closes his GOT tab in his browser. Same as me, I'll slate players if I think they deserve it by posting on here, but I don't waste my time thinking about them once I'm off the site. People need to be able to differentiate between an online persona and a real-life one. With all due respect to you, of course.
I actually think there’s been a slight change of strategy in the recruitment for a couple of reasons. After silva didn’t work out and what looked like an opportunity seized to get Ancelotti in rather than a thought out plan, getting him for 3 years is probably as good as we will get. It surely means we need more players for the here and now. I’m not sure that maybe sat well with Brands. Brands has always said he’s all for long term building and I just don’t think the Ancelotti appointment was part of that plan.
Saying that, if Brands recruitment in his first two summers had been better, we wouldn’t have had to splurge again on ready made players who have little resale value. The fact of the matter is that the minas, Gomes, keans, iwobis, bernards should all be ready to produce for us now consistently and be established first teamers. Unfortunately for all different reasons, it’s just not worked out like that so far.
