He will be if he doesn't sort us an attacker. Two transfer windows to get a roof on the house.

But our Manager doesnt want a Striker.

Marco Silva says he is tired of being told he must buy a striker for Everton

Marco Silva is relaxed about Everton’s goalscoring capability as the transfer window approaches, though he is fed up with being told the club need to buy a striker to replace Romelu Lukaku.

I think richarlison is doing fine as a striker for now. I would rather get rb and midfield sorted first.

I’ve said it before I’d rather have four players scoring 10-15 each instead of one scoring 20-25.

Is it an attacker, or a CF? If we get Lozano and still keep Richy at CF, is that fine?

I just think it's going to be tough to find a first team CF right now that would improve us.

I do think - and I know you agree - that having a player with a bit more size, a bit better in the air, would be a nice change of pace.

If we dont get a striker in January it's the club saying..."that'll do. We can keep this lot quiet enough and see what we can get in the summer".

Same old make do and mend, amateur mentality.

Do you not think there's something in the whole idea of 'you can't get good value in January?' I'll be honest, I'm struggling to think of many January signings off the top of my head, and the last striker we signed in January turned out to be Tosun who is at the very least divisive.

Being honest with you, I think the amateur mentality would be to panic and end up overspending on a forward in the middle of the season when far more options will be available to us in summer, long-term planning essentially. Having said that, I'd be bloody mortified if we haven't picked up one by the time the summer window ends

Right. Not a case of addressing other priorities first and actually seeing whether suitable players are actually available / affordable / willing to join us? Honestly do you actually consider yourself an Everton supporter? Coz you never seem to support the club and/or team.

Remember this time last year, we ended with Tosun. That’s the market you are dealing with in January. Very much doubt we will sign anyone

I kinda agree. It’s apparent that we need another goalscorer. Whether it be a Lozano or a natural striker we need another goal threat. You should always look to improve your team or strengthen at least one spot in January.

Having said that, if we tried and failed to bring our targets in, I can understand that. Teams sometimes like to hold you ransom in january.

Not always mate, we would be more likely to sign a player from a club who's just been knocked out of the CL/Europe than in the summer especially if we offer good money.

Whether Brands will pay that is another matter.

I personally think we'll persist with Rico up top until the end of the season and bring in a CM and RW in Janaury.
