2019/20 Marcel Brands

If and when Marco Silva is sacked, Marcel Brands will no doubt have plenty of input on who our next manager should be. Then I believe his performance can be judged more accurately than it can at present.

Agreed. If we end up with Moyes or Hughes then we know that Brands hasn't got a strong enough say at the club - which in itself is a failing.

He's a director of football AND a director of the club...which is to say, he's a puppet for the major shareholder.

The myths from a year ago about Brands have all been exploded. He's not a man with a plan that works - demonstrably his method is failing; he's not here to raise quality and bring down costs - he's done the actual reverse in the last summer window; he's not decisive - his dithering on players is Moyes-esque; he's not a man with great communications - his absence from the fray since the window closed is conspicuous.

Silva might be gone after today or tomorrow, but we all now know he is the tip of the ice berg in terms of the problem here.

How so?

There's £140M worth of waste there.

Richarlison plays only when he doesn't have a titty lip...which is to say hardly ever.

Mina is a WC flavour of the month player personified.

Gbamin's signng has been a shambles.

Kean is a striker that cant strike.

For the umpteenth time: you worship false Gods; I'm an iconoclast that pulls them down.

The stats show Richarlison is one of the most hard working players in the league backed up by making the 4th most number of tackles this season and one of the highest success rates.

Equally Mina is statistically one of the best CBs in Europe.

Your player evals while consistent, concern me. He’s been as average as the rest of them this season Zat. Hopefully he pushes on but the signs aren’t there that he is or will. 60m for him today is about accurate. Not saying it won’t go up, but he’s not showing a lot to be honest.

If the referees did their job his output would be a lot higher offensively...defensively its huge.

Do we? seeing as icebergs are 90 % below the the surface who are the other problems?
