Allardyce's team was absolutely disgusting. We were bottom or close to it for virtually every single metric that a good team bases itself on - possession, short passes, chances created - you name it.

Silva doesn't have an abundance of quality at his disposal, especially given our injuries, but he should have us comfortable in the top half given the fixtures we've had. Allardyce had Cuco Martina as his left back, Silva has Lucas Digne. It's really not even close.

Sometimes you only need one moment to decide that a guy has absolutely lost the plot - substituting Sidibe off for Coleman at the weekend was that moment for Silva. The bloke is just awful, an no matter what you say about Brands that level of incompetence in our dugout just can't be excused.

Don't disagree with your overall assessment but honestly, I don't have any problem with that sub on Saturday. It looks like a weird thing to do on paper and i'm positive he wouldn't have chosen to do it ordinarily, but Sidibe was absolutely killing us. He was Cuco levels of bad, and that isn't something I say lightly.

Had he also used the approximate £10m we got from a certain player sale correctly instead of making it just disappear the entire crash could’ve been prevented. Dutch clown.
