you have listed 10 players that need to go , I don't disagree with you.

Brands signed 4 of them.

Hardly a glowing recommendation of his talents.

I can’t say he’s got them all right but he’s getting better the longer he’s here.

To break it down and be fair to Brands, every signing is a risk. Did anyone seriously not want us to sign Gomes after his loan? He was immense. That Anfield derby game was the best I’ve seen an Everton player ever play there.

Delph made sense on paper; experience and a winning mentality, our Milner if you will. Turns out he’s a crock and a bell.

Lossl is a weird one but on a free on Im sure low wages so not a disaster. Bernard I think of as a very talented player, but for whatever reason, and I’m sure they’re good reasons, he never gets a run. Still, you’d have to say a poor signing when you consider the wedge he’s on to what he contributes.

Basically, there’s at least been logic to most of the moves, even the missteps.

We do know that Brands has been at the club for the signings of Mina,Digne, Godfrey,Branthwaite, Doucoure, Allan, JR ,Iwobi and Richarlison .

Gomes , Delph and Bernard seemed like decent value even though they have not done as well as we would have hoped and there were some failures there as well.

Overall, I think his signings have been good.

Who knows who actually make the decisions. We just praise the people we like and slate the people we don’t. This season, some of his worse signings have improved no doubt so let’s just see how we go until the end of the season. I have no idea though why we still don’t have a right back. It was on the priority list when he arrived and were still in the same boat, if not worse, with an even older Seamus Coleman who spends most of his time now injured. This guys jd would make him culpable but again, who knows who makes the decisions between the two, even three of them.
All I want for Xmas Marcel is a right back

Bernard on a free and Iwobi who is like 24 and was only 27M are misses apparently.

Mina has been our best central defenseman since he signed. Period.
