Do seem to get through academy chief scouts, sure he’s about the 3rd in 6 years or so.
I imagine its quite a serious blow with potentially a lot of research going with him if the clubs data isn’t locked down tight.

I think Brands should sign :

Mbappe, Lewandowski, De Bruyne, Oblak, Kroos and Paulo Maldini.

Next summer we can see if Brands is superior to the above-average fan, me.

He's had enough money to buy half that lot but we still ended up with Iwobi, Delph, Bernard, Kean and Gbamin.

I think Kean & Gbamin were good signings that didn't work out - Iwobi, Delph and Bernard , no excuse. Iwobi / Delph don't fit any sort of strategy or profile of player we are going for, and you could have guessed Bernard wouldn't be physically competitive.

Don’t see an issue with Bernard myself. A regular CL player on a free who had a decent first year with Digne. Sadly couldn’t sustain it but these things happen.
