Sack him or let him do his job.

if we continue with the director of football role doesn’t matter who’s there they’ll fail with moshi sticking his beak in with his leach agent mates in his ear ‘advising’ him

As in let the director of football take charge of footballing matters like they’re supposed to instead of the weird mishmash we have now with it not being clear between manager, dof and kenwright butting in and the space cadet Moshiri overruling them all. Too many cooks in the kitchen and all that.

Spot on this. The problem we as fans have is not actually knowing who to blame...players, manager, DOF, owner ?

Theres no transparency which not only seems clear from when managers talk about players who have signed but also the media have highlighted it as well.

The structure at the club is bizarre

No worries though.
We’ve got Unsworth and Jose Baxter looking after our kids..
Utter joke of a set up we have.

Thats incredible...aside from Solanke.

6 of them walk into our first 11...and they have more of them sold, loaned or in the squad.

This is what ive been asking us to do for so long its not funny anymore.

Invest heavily in the youth setup and give yourself a foundation to build on

What does he do actually?

Probably sugar coating the club's progress to Moshiri, picking up or making agent phone calls and inquire availability of bunch of players that he has not scouted. Walk around youth academy and tells everyone on how he is instilling the way of Dutch Total Football to the youth academy.

A serious need to know this fellas job. Know is his job description. But dof is a very vague job description in itself.
Was he responsible for iwobi on the pitch last night.
Was he responsible for the 25m purchase of ben godfrey. Was he responsible for the club having no options for a recognised left back cover last night. Is he responsible for the awful lack of options up front this season.
Back to the job description. What exactly is his input.

This fella's a fraud of the first order...another awful appointment by the Mosh-man: BRING BACK BLUE BILL
Steady @deipnosophist', we all know that Boy's Pen Bill has a machiavellian type hold on this football (???) club and has 'spies' at every level. I am not sure anybody knows who they can totally trust, which, if allowed to fester much longer, could bring our Premier dreams come crashing down.
To me, Moshiri, who appears to be a superb accountant, is a modern day Svengali, who knows sod all about football. He appears to hire sycophants in order to pander to his, possible, insecurity, after his too many to list atrocious decisions and statements.
Where that leaves Brands though, other than Social Security, I have no idea.

It's whatever Mr Burns sorry, Moshiri says it is

You are a well known and respected poster @Zatara, but to use the phrase 'The structure at the club is bizarre' is, in itself 'bizarre' for as we all know, the club doesn't have a structure.
You really need to up your meds.

He did nothing to overhaul the squad in the summer.

With us known to have been scouting Leverkusen for two seasons I wonder if he was the one who sanctioned the Gray deal or if Benitez really did "keep in touch with him since Newcastle played Leicester several years ago"...

No idea either way, seems odd though

He’s spoken multiple times about his role and what he does. He’s heavily involved with recruitment, he’s said some players are put forward by the manager and some by him and the scouts. Nobody gets signed if he and the manager don’t agree. He’s also discussed one of the big areas/challenges, of his job is selling/moving players on from the squad.

As far as I can see he’s failed to provide any strategy or continuity between managers and squad building and completely failed at moving on players who aren’t good enough to be here.

There is simply no defence for the job he has done, the squad is arguably weaker now than when he took over.

I am still furious with him just showed the lack of planning he had last night. Team has no identity and him leaving us short in key areas of the pitch. Just have no idea what he is doing. Is clear that we pretty much need a player in every position rb cb cm winger. To leave us no cover at fb and kenny who will be leaving just shows how much an idiot he is.
