Marcel Brands

Made a rod for his own back... He's stayed at the club knowing full well he's getting paid for job he's not doing.

Also the Keane and Coleman contract extension should be a sackable offence straight off.

Coleman yes, but at that time Keane was playing ok and was in the England side.

Not only have we appointed the worst manager available, because he lives quite close, it turns out rumours are that Brands will be fired from his DoF role...

Rumour is Brands was told to return from Holland for the board meeting. Don't think its looking too good for him.
Why the hell would he go to Holland after that performance in the Derby and with a game coming up of vital importance? When it's clear that everyone at the club needs to be visibly doing what they can to right the boat?

Or is him being in the Netherlands a load of tosh?

Keane has never been good enough for us....regardless of the peaks he's had in form.

I remember watching Lukaku absolutely destroy him when he played for Burnley at GP and thought then he was absolutely bang average.

Keane should have been sold after his performance against Leicester in the League Cup when he allowed a 5 foot 9 Vardy bully him off the pitch. It was the the most cowardly performance from Everton Centre back I've ever seen.

Luckily for him he's ended up at a club that retains complete garbage.

I am fully aware we live in era long gone from the old blood and thunder Centre half this historic club has been graced with but he's the prime example of a player completely out this depth at this club but continues to turn out week in week out.

The 'Director of Football' role must be the best job in the world.

You get a huge salary, a great title and, get this, zero accountability.

Rafael is a complete tool but at least he has to face the music and do countless press conferences and interviews after we've been pummelled at home.

Not old Brandsy, the bluffer just drives off in his massive car to go home and count his cash while people defend him by saying he 'hasn't been allowed to do his job'.

The heart bleeds...

All of that is true, but Keane was still someone with value that they might have wanted to protect - Coleman wasn't.

If Keane is someone of value that the club wants to protect we might as well drop down to league 1 now.

The thing is you may be right, if so it's an absolutely damming indictment of how far the club has fallen.
