I have no issue with sacking Brands - he’s done F all in the grand scheme but this is the worry - we’ve just given our heart and soul to Benitez and that statement even puts it balls on the table that he’s staying

After the confrontation by the “fan” on Wednesday that went viral, I’m not surprised he’s decided to leave.
The problem here is somebody needs to be held accountable for these signings.
Namely:
Sigurdsson for £40m
Iwobi for £36m
Gbamin for £25m
Who made these signings???
Others such as:
Walcott £20m
Tosun £25m
Are certainly Alladyce signings. What a waste of £25m.

Appointing another DoF seems to go against everything we know about Benitez and his iron fist. Unless that DoF is actually just one of his mates there in title only to keep things looking clean.
