It’s pretty clear he wasn’t sacked.

After the confrontation by the “fan” on Wednesday that went viral, I’m not surprised he’s decided to leave.

The problem here is somebody needs to be held accountable for these signings.

Namely:
Sigurdsson for £40m
Iwobi for £36m
Gbamin for £25m

Who made these signings???

Others such as:
Walcott £20m
Tosun £25m

Are certainly Alladyce signings. What a waste of £25m.

Koeman
£25m Klassen

The list goes on. We have squandered millions on rubbish. But please somebody identify who paid the money for the first 3 as these are really really bad

Walsh
Moshiri
Brands

Gylfi was Walsh/Koeman
Iwobi was seemingly Moshiri
Gbamin was Brands but c'mon, who could have seen that one coming.

To be fair mate he wasnt doing much before he arrived.
Im amazed at the out pouring for brands. His time here will be seen as very poor.

I think if more had left over the weekend it would be different. The ceo might leave soon but I’d be surprised if the chairman left. The Echo already fail to mention him in all this despite clearly stating he was involved with brands in transfers not long ago.

On Friday, following a personal conversation with the Chairman and my fellow Board members, we agreed that I would step down from my post as Director of Football and as a member of the Everton Football Club Board.

This decision has taken some time and some consideration and was one of the most difficult I have faced in my career.

The Board and I agreed that there is a clear difference in the vision and direction for this beautiful club and, with that in mind, the decision was taken.

I want to thank everyone in the Club who I have worked closely with over the last three and a half years. There are a lot of talented people at Everton with huge passion and commitment to move the Club forward, both on and off the pitch.

I want to wish all of the squad every success, and I am convinced that there is enough quality to improve the current situation quickly.

It has been an honour for me to work at this fantastic club and I wish everyone associated with Everton the very best for the future.
I'm almost certain brands is probably less liable for this damage than people think

I've always been grateful to Moshiri for pumping money in, but it's terribly evident he hasn't got a clue about football

Yeah - Moshiri didn't want you wasting any more of his money lol lol

When you read the full statement on the Everton Website, the final sentence i.e "In the meantime, the Owner and Board of Directors will continue to provide our manager, Rafael Benitez, with their full support" comes across as a big FU to everyone including disgruntled supporters from Moshiri. There was no other reason to add that into a statement about Brands, Only thing he forgot to add was a cc Jim White.

Hope that the whole ground does the 27 minute exodus tomorrow night. This owner and board will destroy this club the way they are going.

I’d personally like to see what his entire remit was; that’s the issue I’ve always had. If he was employed to simply act as a chief negotiator then the position is void. IMO that’s where the out pouring seems to come from, the full lack of cohesion and accountability

It is also beyond the pale idiotic.
Imagine we sack him in the next month.
What manager is going to want to work for Moshiri knowing he lies through the back teeth.

No wonder we have such cowards representing this club on the field, when those in the boardroom are the biggest shithouses at the club.

11:45pm on a Sunday night, ahead of the most publicised protests possibly ever held at this club - absolute contempt from Moshiri, boys pen Billy and the rest of his cronies.

Sacrificial lamb to quell the uprising - I bet mohiri thought this would do it.

All it shows is that Moshiris hands are much dirtier in relation to all the carnage that has been going on since he bought us - why should brands quit his high paid job that he's never been allowed to properly get on with - an absolute shitshow.

Now it seems moshiri has basically doubled down on Benitez and gave him total control of transfers - Jesus Christ, it seems a fool and his money are easily parted.

It all begins and ends with transparency.

When we have all the facts then we can make determinations on who is performing, who isn't, who should stay, who should go.

Until we have openess we'll keep having crises like this.

Yep, I’ve said it all along. Give the DoF the power he’s supposed to have, if it’s not working then he’s rightly for the chop.

This club though

The statement is dated the 4th of December so its obviously been concocted yesterday pending Brands severance agreement.

Yeah. And thats always been the case. And just for the sake of argument i'll go with both theories.
If he was heavily involved in direct transfers. Then terrible.
If he wasnt and as some have stated he was being unermined then he was basically just having a nice paid holiday and being a complete waste of time to this club.
I cant find any positives from his time here.
