I wish someone would tell me the exact age I'm supposed to start wearing slacks
The problem I have with this is it isn't Brands sending them out with bad tactics and making terrible subs and whoever bought Rondon should have been the first out.
If these things are true then the club is currently beyond help!Haha unbelievable, people defending this moron because of an insatiable desire to have a pop at Benitez.
Benitez has been here a grand total of four months ffs. This clown has decimated the squad over years.
If you honestly think sacking the man who panic bought Alex f'in Iwobi for £30m is "scapegoating" then you're beyond help.
Knew it, from the echo "The signing of Alex Iwobi, it must also be stressed, was not on Brands. The director of football was certain the idea of signing the Arsenal man, at such a price at that late in the window, would quickly die down, but Moshiri pressed on with the signing."
If these things are true then the club is currently beyond help!
Completely agree but that's how I read the situation. If we don't get any points (or even just a draw or 2) by Christmas having played Burnley and Newcastle as well, we will be more than likely getting relegated. Huge risk.
Agreed. And if Brands was a man of integrity he should have walked away instead of signing an extension to his contract. What an absolute plant pot we have owning the club.
But people like @ForeverBlue92 think this is absolutely fine because he owns the club.
This nobhead needs to go, pressure should be put on him and the fat kopite to koff
Dont get wrong he is a big problem at the club but he isn't going to walk away from the club now with the stadium underway.Find it bizarre that at this point you still think Moshiri is the saviour.
He’s pumped money in, yes, but his decision making (including this latest one) is arguably the biggest single problem at the club.
It’s demonstrably clears from Kirkbride’s article (it was clear before that if you were paying attention, but never explicit until now) that Moshiri WAS sticking his nose in, and that the owner was indulging managers with signings that went against the footballing strategy (such as it was, given that it was never given a chance to get off the ground)
He’s gotten the stadium going, for which I’ll be forever grateful, but in every other single way, the club was (god help us) better off when Kenwright was in charge.
Not Benitez though, just so we're clear? It has nothing to do with the football manager.
Moshiri is the big dog at Goodison and so long as we need his dough he can do what he pleases as majority shareholder whether we agree with those decisions or not.
I personally think his heart is in the right place he just puts his faith in the wrong people like Kenwright, Brands etc.
While morally it may be right, let’s be honest nobody is walking away from a million pound a year job. It doesn’t happen in the real worldAgreed. And if Brands was a man of integrity he should have walked away instead of signing an extension to his contract.
