Remember when people who were crap at their jobs either got fired or had the decency to resign ?
One thing I still can’t get my head around was his trip back to Holland before the season started.
Could not have been more than to see his friends and family. Multiple reports basically confirming he was there to secure some signings (grand total of 0, in the end) and that he needed to quarantine when he got back to the UK. The signings never came and you can’t tell me he was there just to finalise Markelo’s move back home.
This guy was allowed to jaunt around and still leave massive gaps with our squad? Joker
That was a moshiri/ kia signing. He should have cleared his desk after iwobi.
That wasnt just an individual abysmal signing. It was an indication that long term decisions should not be left to this fella.
Scary having him with so much sway as to plays on the pitch for Everton.
@Papa Shango we bid for Doucoure in 2019 and it was rejected. We also wanted him in 2018It was only press reports but it's alleged we put in a bid when Silva was manager but Watford said do one.
I was thinking about just this last week for some reason, and the last person in football who behaved with this kind of dignity was Kevin Keegan - in the toilets at Wembley, ironically enough. He was lampooned for it, vilified. Yet, here was a hugely successful person simply accepting that he wasn't cut out for a particular job. I think that takes a lot of courage and honesty. People won't admit it, but they secretly prefer the incompetent, but bloated, buffoon approach - Boris Johnson - to the honest Keegan approach. It's cheapened discourse.Remember when people who were crap at their jobs either got fired or had the decency to resign ?
