very poor, if his hands are tied, he should resign, his reputation is taking huge hits and he is letting it. Moshiri needs to let him do the job he is paid for or he has to go, it's not good enough from any of them.

Because we have appointed a DoF and then let Managers bring in their own players. We have been in a vicious circle for years. We appoint managers let them bring in their own players, sack the manager and then the next manager doesn't fancy half the team, and we start again.

The perfect example is Ancelotti bringing in James and then Benitez getting shut and bringing in Rondon. If you are going to have a DoF then he should be appointing the managers because they need to fit with the players he has recruited.

Instead, we have Moshiri who has zero football knowledge appointing big names on a whim.

Totally agree and changing the dof will change nothing it's the structure and the culture at the club which has to change that's why we are continually make the same mistakes over and over again .I am almost certain no other premier League club has the equivalent of a brands,the manager the owner and the best friend agent of the owner and the chairman all having a say on recruitment

Brands is in no way blameless for our current predicament with our paper thin squad full of bang average, gutless frauds, and for me he should resign - tbh, if he had any pride in his work or himself, he would have resigned when he wasn't allowed to select the last manager. He's here for the money now, nothing more.

However, Moshiris scattergun, bonkers strategy of gegging into every last football decision and hiring a DoF but never actually allowing him to do the job properly is now fully reaping what it sowed.

The problem with Everton is nobody knows whose making the decisions, at least in the past you could simply say we didn't have money or that Moyes or Martinez were to blame. If the manager is deciding who gets signed, then who is? It's quite obvious that the DoF nonsense has been disastrous for us and we should rely on the manager to make decisons. There's no point sacking managers, if the same clowns at an upper level are in the job, the only person who seems t remain a constant feature in the eff ups in Moshiri.

It’s increasingly obvious that he has no input on the recruitment side of things - which is no bad thing given his poor record.

Why then hasn’t he revamped the academy - it’s an absolute shambles - we’ve been buying lads to win the u23’s title. Nothing coming through, no coherent playing philosophy. At least do something to justify the salary

Nowt but clickbait - there's no money for transfers, the summer proved that.

The most basic and to the point question. Which nobody seems to know.

I don't know what he or anybody else does really.

It's hard to apportion blame to anybody as it is such a shambolic mess.

So many questions not only with transfer policy but youth players too, are the youth players really not good enough or is it just a case of never getting the chance to show if they are good or not?

Why do we get so many injuries to expensive players? How do we have 100M of "talent" currently sitting either in our treatment room or a cell and not actually miss any of them? Why do we have a young exciting prospect out on loan to a top side whilst we have some 32 year old chugger playing up front who has already started more games than him in his time here? Why do certain players never seem to get a game whilst others always seem to get played whilst they are equally as crap as each other?

From top to bottom this club is an absolute mess. A weird type of mess too, a totally boring one.
